My first flight on a 747 was in I believe 1973 from JFK to Madrid Spain. I really love those first-generation 747s. You could easily hear all the mechanical workings and noises coming from everything from that plane but it was beautiful. We always flew PanAm my grandfather always paid for the tickets and he said pan-am was the best airline in the world his second choice would be TWA. He said he would never fly the Spanish National Airline Iberia. I believe we also flew PanAm from JFK to Madrid in 1972 I cannot remember which one of those two years the flight attendants were dressed up like The Cabaret singers because the movie Cabaret was very popular back then the one was Liza Minnelli. I was about eight years old and I think I first realized I was gay after watching that movie

My first 747 flight was in early October 1982. I had gone on the QE2 to England with my parents, and we flew home on a British Airways 747 to Chicago in economy class, a memorable flight. My 2nd 747 flight was on KLM in late May 1992, flying from Minn. , MN to Amsterdam, that was a great flight. The service was amazing, the flight attendants seemed to come around to give us water or drinks every few minutes, best service I have ever had on an airplane, and that was economy class! I want to take the Lufthansa 747-8 from Frankfurt to Chicago in Sept. I love 747's! In five days I will take a Lufthansa 787-9 from Denver to Frankfurt, and then take a connecting flight to Basel, Switzerland. I've never flown on a Dreamliner or Lufthansa, will be in Premium economy for the flight!

Was just on this plane the other day from Frankfurt to NJ. I was extremely excited but ended up not enjoying it. Super bumpy and the landing was horrible. First time my wife wanted to throw up on a plane. I sat there fanning her so she wouldn't. Obviously could be the air. What I did find interesting, I was in row 37 economy and had the isle seat. As we were descending and of course. bumpy, I could look down the isle all the way towards the font and see the plane flexing, up and down, side to side. Reminded me of watching the videos of cargo ships in rough seas.

I try to avoid Lufthansa or Eurowings. You get less for your money. Old airplanes, little service, delays or cancelled flights. Took a 747 from Orlando to Frankfurt a few years ago. I couldn't believe how old everything was. Food so mediocre. Had to ask for every drink of water. Tiny seats. Took a Air Mexico 787-9 from Amsterdam to Mexico City this year. Now that was what I call a business class seat.

My first 747 flight was with Canadian Pacific from Amsterdam to Vancouver in 1985, included a brief stop in Edmonton. I was seated in the front, second row and window with stunning views. The upper dek was not in use that day, but CP Air had a bar next to the stairs, a popular spot for enjoying a drink and chatting with the crew and fellow passengers. One of my best flights ever!

I had the misfortune of missing my flight from Gatwick to Los Angeles back in 2018 on Virgin Atlantic back when they still had 747s in their fleet. I ended up taking a later fight out of Heathrow on a Dreamliner but I never had the chance to ride on the Queen of the Skies. Hoping I can tick off Lufthansa some time before they officially retire these from their holiday routes.

Hello. I was fifteen when I first flew on a 747. Air India JFK-LHR, 25 July 1980. Landing in London during terrific thunderstorms and dangerous turbulence. It was exciting! I was with my ninth grade teacher on an educational tour of Europe's capitals. (We are good friends to this day) Thank you, Mom, for our travels. And, thank you for allowing me to share this memory.

Back in 2017, I took my son on his first flight out of the US. We used Delta from Detroit to Narita (Tokyo - Japan. I didn't know it was going to be the 747 Queen of the skies until we arrived to the assigned gate. I couldn't believe it, neither my son who was 8 y/o at that time. Beautiful plane. My son had a blast on his first flight. Good memories.

And the flight attendant said go sit an your place and she pointed at a basic chair. Cuz people dont like kids sitting in business class. So the flight attendant was like ohhhhh no

My first and only 747 flight was during Christmas of 2018. Me and my family were coming back to San Diego from our trip to Finland. Our stop was in London where we found a British Airways 747 at our gate which would be taking us back to SD. I was sleeping for the majority of the flight so I didnt really around or anything.

Only once flew on a 747-200 series flying to Australia but think it was Air NZ. Got to sit upstairs in Economy oddily. Captions for the German-accent flight crew. really? I understood him perfectly well. Wonder what this flight cost you guessing what about $5-10k each. No wine to go with the cheese platter?

Hello, I have a question that if someone could answer in the comments I would be very grateful. Basically the question is how can I choose an aircraft to fly with, for example if I want to fly in a Boeing 777 is there any way to choose this specific aircraft model?

My first flight on a 747 was leaving Iran and to the freedom of the West. We got to visit the pilots and got a toy plane. 35 years later and that I remember the most. That and my first taste of a McDonalds burger and fries.

I first flew on a TWA 747 in 1971 New York to Athens with a stop in Rome. It took I think 14 hours including the stop in Rome to fix an engine that went out. The second time was the flight back in 1972, Athens to New York.

My first flight on a 747 was TWA to Paris. Sadly, in 1996 my father lost two close friends, a mother and daughter, on TWA Flight 800. I always wondered if it was the same 747 I traveled in years earlier.

I loved my first 747 flight. I went from Rome to Frankfurt on an Airbus A321-neo and then from Frankfurt to Los Angeles on a 747-8. I flew on Lufthansa for both flights. Ill never forget them

Actually I prefer having a stranger sitting next to me in economy than having a stranger laying next to me in business. Its a lot more uncomfortable to have a stranger laying next to you.
