Delta Air Lines First Class 757-300
video description
I'm a 100% service connected disabled veteran, whom was denied reasonable accomodation by Delta Airlines on four different flights recently.
I have contacted the American Legion National Commander to express my disappointment at how your airline treated my wife and I. He is not happy with your airline, metaphorically, left this veteran behind. With approximately 61-million disabled persons in the USA, I don't know why your airlines would alienate disabled persons? Doesn't make for good business practices.
Unfortanately, I'm dying from End Stage Liver Disease brought on by Non-alcohol fatty liver disease, so, Baypines VA RMC booked flights with Delta to Richmond VA RMC for my wife and I to complete final evaluations to get on the National Liver Transplant list.
We flew on 01/30/2022. Our return flights were booked for 02/03/2022. We had called Delta Reservations on 1/23/2022 and 02/02/2022 prior to flying. We were assured both times that Delta could certainly accommodate my request due to my documented disability.
On 01/30/2022 we checked in at TPA to fly to ATL and on to RIC. We were two hours early for each flight where my wife and I were denied each of my requests for reasonable accomodation at every gate.
Delta reservation #'s for myself were F7U6M8- JM726p and for my wife Liz F7VNAV-JM3Y2S
Some of the symptoms of ESLD can be medically dangerously acute, and the edema or fluid retention can be extremely painful and dehabilitating.
My reason for requesting bulkhead seating was because sitting in a no legroom/upright seat causes severe swelling in my legs and scrotum which imobilizes my lower extremities. I have great difficulty being ambulatory and the pain increases as the pressure of the built up edema fluids becomes worse and worse.
We had requested to speak with a Delta CRO several times and were told no CRO was available. We possibly had a CRO in RIC, however, she identified herself as a supervisor and did not resolve my repeat
ed request for reasonable accomodation. Plus, on none of the flights was I approached by a Flight Attendant to ask if I needed help in case of emergency egress.
This whole process has been excruciatingly painful, embarrassing, dehibilitating and has caused me to become bed ridden while my disability has worsened!
We have never been so disrespected or been treated in such an insufferable dehumanizing manner while Delta employees continually denied my repeated requests for reasonable accomodation. We seriously believe, if the Delta employees we asked to help could have cared less about us, they would have! Thanks! So very disappointed with your cruel and unusual treatment of my wife and I.

So at my last job I used to travel between Austin and Atlanta Quarterly and my job would normally put me in the main cabin economy on Delta and the Owner of the company would be seated in first class at the first seat on the aisle on the left. he would always sit with us at the gate he was a great man that was just Chucks Seat as I began to call it. Eventually the owner started putting my seat in Comfort +
I flew First Class several times and it was really cool the first two times but if Im being honest I really like the comfort + better. Im 63 but I dont stretch my legs out in front of my when I sit. A week ago my father got married in Massachusetts and I flew First Class with my Daughter from Austin to Boston and THE only reason my 11 year old was the least bit impressed was because the entertainment. We sat down and I opened up he screen and flipped it to movies and she said Dad, Howcome the planes mom takes doesnt have screens in them?
The lady across the aisle tried not to laugh until I laughed out loud
Thats just how that had to end and I appreciate that lady for laughing along with me because I dont even know how to answer that question.

People only pay for first or business class because they don't want to sit with the peasants, or be seen flying economy. OR they are just rich in general and just do it for extra comfort.
Unless you fly with a really crappy airlines, You have everything you need in economy, you are literally spoilt for choice, a TV screen all to yourself, thousands of movies and music albums, free pillows, socks and blankets and food brought to you on a regular interval. People are becoming so frigging spoilt these day, People take buses and trains everyday, and don't get that level of comfort. So i wouldn't pay hundreds of pounds more, just to get a bit of extra leg room, and a more poncy meal given to me, while i hibernate behind one of those plastic barriers that makes me look like a hermit. , i just want to get to my destination without crashing into the sea, with a decent movie to watch, and hopefully a window seat.

Being from Scotland when travelling in the US I no longer buy first class tickets on any of the legacy carriers. Why some might ask and that is because I often find from speaking to fellow travellers it seems that I am one of the few who have actually paid for the cabin. It is great that status allows for comp upgrades and in the past I benefited from it when I was platinum with Flyingblue on Northwest and later Delta and back i the days of Continental Onepass. Now none of that is appealing and to be honest I find the service just as good in the main cabin domestically. I have also become a convert to Southwest and they are my preferred carrier domestically in the US. First class service all the way and the majority of the crews are happy and professional and make you feel like you are a valued customer when travelling with them.

No offense to Delta it is my favorite Airline but I do not prefer to fly anymore due to the country's situation today and how people are becoming, companies are making many expensive profits but the service has gone downhill even though the aircraft's are newer it just doesn't feel like the good old days of nostalgia my grandfather and I both are loyal to Delta Airlines they have new planes new Interiors but Society in the air is just not the same and the service is not worth the outrageous money I say this for all Airlines combined mostly us domestic carriers, I stepped into a car today I feel guilty because I'm contributing to the dying air quality of the world

I recently took a 757-300 from Detroit to Orlando and I hadnt been on a plane in a couple years, I love aviation so much and as we took off, I cried a bit because I havent experienced take off in forever. This is the reason why I came to this video. My stepdad said we should bump up to first class but I had to say if we ever do do first class, we should do it on a plane that has more room like a 767, 787, or possibly a 777. In my opinion, I would think the first class on the 757 would be little tighter than usual, first class wasnt what it used to be all those years ago but the service in my opinion is nice.

You're not crazy at all.
When the plane turns onto the runway for departure is an awesome moment.
Me being a speed junkie, the acceleration up to take off is awesome as well. That force of being pushed back in your seat and getting up to speed is an incredible feeling as well.
I always have my Ulysses speedometer app running on my phone. It's usually pretty accurate even up in the air.

Just got back from Sitka, Alaska yesterday. Flew Alaska Airlines out and Delta back, both first class. Delta was disappointing with seat comfort, leg room and food. I must say though that Delta excelled in the entertainment area. I was disappointed with the entertainment offered by Alaska Airlines. Thanks Alaska Airlines for the comfort and food! Kudos to Delta for their entertainment!

The price is thousands more for a family of 5 to fly first class and for what, a couple of extra Cheetos and a bud light. No thanks, in these trying times it does not make sense for the average flyer to pay for first class. If everything was on offer then absolutely, but at the moment I cant help but feel like you would be a bit pretentious to fly first class at the moment!

A few years ago i found first class made a flight more enjoyable. Fights were initially booked in coach but I kept make a watch on first class availability. OftenI could save on changing to first class, but it depends on how many seats are open. It was well worth any additional cost go have the additional comfort.

Reduce risk -- hardly -- an excuse to enhance profits and all they serve is a package of junk food - what a disgrace. The airlines are suffering? - they get more financial bail-outs than you can shake a stick at -- the only ones who might suffer are the people willing to accept this abuse.

Its never worth it to fly first class on a domestic flight unless youre collecting points, or youre connecting to another flight and you need to get off your flight ASAP. Otherwise, the only difference between first and economy is a flimsy curtain.

Jeb. A big fan. That moment the aircraft turns to line up on the run way is magical, like it takes a breath before it takes flight. I also love the take off run and the feeling just as you leave the runway. Its not weird at all: -)

Im taking this exact route next week, leaving on 8Jan for business. And First class to me is not worth the additional cost for this short flight. Now if going across the pond to Europe, most definitely its worth the upgrade.

The air is exchanged every 2-3 minin the air. Not on the ground. Personally, I wear a kN95 mask from boarding to 10k feet, then switch to a more comfy cloth mask. Then I repeat the process on the way down.

This was a joke. Even United offers sodas to coach class! The only advantage is that youre guaranteed an empty seat next to you, which you cant say the same about United or Alaska.

First class is not about the lounge. most executives don't have time to spend in a lounge. We need to lay down flat, that said, this first class flight is probably not worth its cost.

Is flying Delta worth it at all. When an airline makes it their policy to take a position against the elected government. I choose not to fly Delta any more.
