Honestly, I think it is a mistake to retire the Jumbos. With ticket prices soaring as a result of fuel and maintenance costs (and greed, we need MORE 747s and A380s to balance everything out and make air travel affordable again, not less.
That said, Emirates is airbus's biggest customer in the middle east, and they've been asking for next generation A380s, so we might see that happen. Also, with more powerful and fuel efficient turbofans on the way, a twin-engine, twin deck airliner might become not only feasible, but also practical in the not-too-distant future.

There are no words.
As an av geek, this would be the Mount Rushmore of flight experiences on a commercial airliner. Nothing else in the world can top this, and as long as Etihad is still operating these planes, there's hope for a person of modest means as myself to someday cross this off the bucket list.

1st time seeing 2 ppl in the residence, past reviews i have watched were of solo passengers, didnt even know they allowed 2 in there. makes me curious of the impact on the pricing, how much more did it cost for 2 passengers to share the suite

Susan picked right, one of my favorite shows of recent years.
As for the video, here I am merely hoping one day to have an actual comfortable long distance flight. Instead of folded like a pretzel in a small airline chair.

This is not the same product from 2014, lot of things have been cut, including the butler, it still looks incredible, but it’s not to the same level as when it was launched.
