First impressions after watching the video. Let’s talk about the most expensive flight. I think I will have to agree with your assessment that it’s just not worth the $3000 price tag. Yes, the lounge looked amazing. And you had the food and the restaurant. I would definitely take advantage of that lounge in the restaurant. Probably go with the cheeseburger myself lol But I’d have to get regular Coke. Other than that once you get on the plane, it just doesn’t look any different than any other business class or whatever. You can pay a lot less price and get even a better amenity kit than what you guys got. As far as the seats pulled into a bed probably would fit me fine. I just don’t think it was worth the money even with that. Awesome lounge and restaurant. The food on the plane looked good. I liked her meal probably better. And if they would’ve had cheesecake for dessert, probably would’ve gone for that. I wouldn’t have done the salad because that’s just way too healthy. Lol. If it’s not clogging my arteries up or making my sugar, shoot to the roof then I’m probably not interested. Lol
On the subject cheapest flight. Well the biggest turn off for me was the screaming kids in the background. That would’ve killed my drums. The food on the cheaper flight looks OK. Although the prices on the Pringles and the Coke were ridiculous. I think the cheapest I’ve seen a can of Coke. These days is two dollars. But paying almost 5 dollars for a can of Coke is way too much. Unfortunately, the price on the Pringles are pretty average. No matter where you go as far as getting them.
Yeah, I don’t think I’ll ever fly spirit air. All the videos and things I’ve read about them. It’s just not impressing or inspiring me to even give them a shot. And your experience in these cheap seats. Exactly why I will never fly economy. I generally fly business class

For several years, I had premium/first class status on Alaska/Horizon, which granted me access to the lounges. 99% of the time I flew between Boise, Seattle, and Portland, OR. Boise didn't have a lounge, but that was fine. I left at 7: 00 a. m. I would fly into Seattle, check into the lounge, grab a bit of brunch, check my email, then board the air shuttle to PDX. I would stop in at that lounge, once again check my email (this was all business travel) and maybe grab a pastry as I headed for the gate. On the way home on the same day, everything in reverse, only going home, adult beverages were involved.
Then one day, I had to travel to EWR (Newark, NJ. I had a couple of hours to kill before my ride picked me up (I was on a redeye between the west and east coast of the U. S. So I went into the lounge and was stunned! They had showers, beds, food, drink, everything! In hindsight, now that I know more, I should have grabbed a shower and a nap in one of the small cot rooms. Instead, I imbibed because my doctoral classes didn't start until the next morning, and I wasn't driving.

I flew Spirit from Hartford to Orlando and back and I'm not gonna lie, it wasn't bad. Be prepared for lack of wifi and expensive snacks but if you prepare for it before hand, you won't notice. Sure the seats are a bit cramped and stuff but, having flown all over the world on a dozen different airlines, it's really not as bad as people say. Spirit isn't some first class airline, but as long as you're prepared for it, you'll save some money and it's not a bad trip.
Also, I'm sure I'm one of a very small few, but an upset baby has never bothered me. The pressurization I'm sure is uncomfortable for them and I'm sure their parents are frazzled

That was a nice walkthrough on the difference. Business class is definitely not worth it unless your employer is buying. Even if you had the means to pay for it and wanted luxury for money, it would be cheaper to fly Spirit have dinner at the nicest Steakhouse in Beverly Hills sleep a night at the most luxurious hotel in LA than to buy that Delta One ticket. Delta also needs more of a push to clear out those crumbling 767-300 cabins. They're my favorite US airline, but for that journey I'd probably pick United or JetBlue over them, just because the hard product is so bad.

Then maybe compare the end cost (food, wifi, etc) to the ticket price so as a consumer I can get the best idea of what that trip will cost.
Also total side note, I know kids fussing can be annoying, but as a mom of little kids, it's worse for the parents and frankly isn't the nicest thing for you to call out.

I have flown Cathay Pacific, Jet Blue, America West, EVA, and American. Once you have flown the Asians, especially in Premium Economy, you want absolutely NOTHING to do with an American airline. American from LAX was the cattle car. America West was forgettable. Jet Blue to/from Vegas was a let down at the time. On the flip side, Cathay was great. EVA is now our chariot to Asia. EVA should be allowed to have a subsidiary in the USA. American and United will go out of business if EVA was allowed to do that.

That Spirit flight could have been even cheaper if you bought the tickets at the airport the same day you were going to buy them online. They discount the Passenger Usage Fee when you buy at the airport. Just make sure you buy it the day you spot the price, otherwise it will most likely change. Also, instead of checking in bags, bring a Take Off Luggage. Its personal size luggage, fits under the seat in front of you, and holds 4 to 5 days worth of clothes.

You could not pay me to fly Spirit again. The only time I ever flew on Spirit was in February 2024, from MCO to GUA. It was so bad, I didn't even use the return portion and booked a ticket on another airline instead. Literally every staff member, on the ground as well as in the air, was either apathetic or extremely rude. The A319 I was on was also, easily, the filthiest aircraft I have ever flown on (and I was in a big front seat.

That’s a seat in our big front seats, which includes WiFi, carry on luggage and unlimited snacks and beverages including alcohol. Then we have Go Comfy & Go Savvy but Go Big is where it’s at, and still a lot cheaper than the legacies

Honestly have zero intetest in ever flying budget airlines. Im glad they exist for price competition and they do serve those with lesser means. However, I see budget airlines the same as payday loans, or like a glacier. By time you pay for all the things thst come with an economy ticket on the major airlines you are paying about the same thing.

I took a Spirit flight from Chicago to Las Vegas once. Never again. Very thin seats that didn't recline at all & had a couple with a kid sitting on his dad's lap kicking the back of my seat all the way. No wifi back then on any of their flights. Do yourself a favor & skip the budget airlines & pay a little more with a major carrier like United.

Delta should give you at least $3000 back for that flight on a plane older than both my rides combined (1 10 year old car, 1 23 year old car.

To be fair, I'd like to know the TOTAL price of your Spirit flight - luggage, food & drink, seat selection, wifi. It might be comparable with a flight on a legacy carrier in coach, especially if you have a credit card that gives you free checked luggage and a FF membership that gives you free wifi, etc.

My rule for flying is under 3 hours-economy. 3-5 hours, premium and over 5-first. But with Delta, Premium seems to be about equal to this Delta One experience. I’d rather pay far less for a reclining seat with foot rest than what I just saw here. You have to know what model plane you will be flying.

Call me old fashioned but for $3000 I could get soooooo many more trips and if I prefer to upgrade’ I can book the front seats on spirit and spend a couple hundred bucks for food or lounge access. Unless I probably had $10 mil in the bank. Sorry I am so frugal. Its ok to indulge though!

I try to avoid Delta, they are all talk and no substance. I am disappointed that a childless couple took a shot at a child crying. Maybe one day you will appreciate being a parent and understand that children often cry with changes in air pressure. Thumbs down on this videol

still using your spirit quality phone camera. just because apple say you can, doesn't mean you should. You really need to upgrade and use a proper camera to document your videos. There's no dynamic range, image stabalisation and the low light image quality is dire.

You can’t compare a Delta One ticket to a Spirit ticket. A more realistic comparison would have been the most expensive economy ticket to the least expensive economy ticket. I’d also have to be really desperate to book a ticket on Spirit.

Flew to LAX from BWI two weeks ago on SW. Brought a Philly cheesesteak and a 1. 5L Nalgene with ice from home to fill on the other side of TSA with my favorite flavor mix. Yeah, didn't want to spend $12 for Chick fil a sandwich.
