Watch this video to see inside the World’s Newest Airport Terminal! Welcome to the NEW Frankfurt Airport Terminal 3! This terminal will be home to 57 airlines with room for even more! Construction began on the FRA Airport Terminal 3 nearly 10 years ago and cost more than 4 billion Euros! In this Airports Revealed video, we were invited for an Exclusive First Look inside! We participated in the Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer process called ORAT. I participated as a passenger in the early stages in December 2025. We were able to explore the World's Newest Airport Terminal at Frankfurt International Airport! We'll look at the passenger experience from beginning to end. The New FRA Airport is just one of so many exciting New Airport Terminal projects going on all over the world and we had so much fun exploring the new FRA Terminal 3 before it opened! Would be smart to enter this skyline train direct from the airport train station like near the airrail terminal.
If you arrive by ICE Train you have do go up and down right and left several times to acess the skyline at Terminal 1.
sometimes i think this airports do this on purpose to show the passengers how huge they are make you walk.
So if you ask my Opinion as a German coming from Stuttgart by Train the connection is way better than going to Munich but
To come from the train Station to T2 or T3 is not verry good realized in my eyes. If the train has delay you get u der stress its a long way to T2 or T3.

Interesting. Thanks for the insight.
While they are building T3, maybe they can still every now and then be bothered to renovate and maintain the facilities in T1 and T2.
I fly a lot, and FRA has the worst toilets of any german international airport. Some of them are old, with split tiles and dirty grout in the joints, most of them have a horrible odor and all of them aren't cleaned close to often enough. I only suffer it, because its direct connection to the long distance train network often makes it a lot more convenient to reach from Nuremberg than MUC.

For arrivals, I would assume the baggage belts are more sophisticated and sort baggage beased on whether FRA is destination (out to luggage belts) or connecting passengers or needs to go through customs belts and possibly x-ray. Some airports have separate belts for urgent/short connections, normal connections and a storage area where bags can be held for long prior until makeup for next flight is ready to accept it.

Wow! Thank you so much for sharing this with me. New terminal 3 is so beautiful! I'm impressed that you got on the tour opportunity to see new terminal 3. I'm glad you have a great day. You know what I was there in FRA during my inaugural flights from PHX-FRA on May 18, 2018. I flew on Condor. It's very easy airport, but not a hard way. I know FRA airport very well. Hope you enjoy your spending the time in Frankfurt.

I wouldn't be so proud of spending ten years building a terminal. Germany is incredibly slow when it comes to construction, and in the end, it's often not even good. Compared to other airports, this one is simply outdated. It must also be said that German architecture is among the most boring and ugly. Germany was once a country, but it has deteriorated forever.

What a great experience! I hope it helps the airport, it felt really confusing when we flew through there back in 2024. We used it a lot when we lived in Heidelberg back in the early 2000s and it was a great airport in a great city and country. It's good to see Germany invest wisely in their country and I'm sure the new terminal will make the airport even better.

Very cool video! My wife, mother-in-law, and I flew Lufthansa direct from St. Louis to Hamburg in July 2025. We actually got off the plane on a set of old-fashioned drive up stairs and then took a bus to the terminal. It appeared this was something they were doing with nearly all inbound flights. They need the terminal. It looks great!

I hope Frankfurt Airport has improved, because my previous experiences thereboth layovers in 2016 and 2018, both outbound and returnwere terrible. There were errors in the signage, unfriendly and rude staff, and congestion on the taxiways causing delays in flight departures from the apron. It was the worst airport I've used in Europe.

Thanks for the video. I know it's a few months from opening but that terminal looks very bland and basic. Aesthetically speaking taking a look at Istanbul airport and even Singapore which are beautiful terminals. FRA terminal 3 looks so vanilla as if there's no creativity. That being said, it's truly in the spirit of a German airport.

Thanks for another great video, Jeb and Suzanne! A hint for future trips: Around 1. 5 hours away from FRA is the Sinsheim Technology Museum, among other rarities they have a Concorde. I mean a real Concorde and yes you can access it. Went there with my kids a couple of months ago, we had a great time. Keep up the good work.

Heyy. Thats my worklplace! Its so big and awesome. (Im in training for Software engineer system integration)
One of my jobs were helping to build in the computers for the luggage dropoff machines including all the cablework.
For a scale of size. At the end of my tour through T3 i walked 13KM.

3 years of testing before opening should guarantee German efficiency & a very smooth opening. Very interesting to see that the home airline is not moving into the shiny new terminal like what normally happens around the world, T5 LHR with BA T2 Dublin EI etc etc. Great video as always.

Since the concessionaire for Frankfurt and Lima's Jorge Chavez airport is the same, at first I feared the worst: that Frankfurt's Terminal 3 would have a building with a roof as horrible as Lima's airport, but fortunately that's not the case and it doesn't look bad in this instance.

Lest we forget the hallowed grounds that this new terminal is built upon. Rhein- Main ab. This base has/had such a huge historical footprint in the regrowth of Germany after the war and provided a home to thousands upon thousands of families throughout the years of its existence.

00: 25 lol it's kind of funny how 70% of my childhood is basically included within the bounds of this snippet birds eye view of the airport haha many small towns in the area which nobody's ever heard of, which are really close to the airport in terms of aerial distance

Hey Jeb just watch this video i love the behind the scene's you should try come to Sydney Australia and see there new 24hr airport it call western Sydney international first flight out of there is in November 2026 Singapore airline flight to Singapore

I can also well imagine that many aircraft parking spaces where you are taken to by bus and then climbed in by stairs will now be replaced by the new jetways. I'm curious whether I'll get my flight in Terminal 3 this year: ) Greetings from near Frankfurt

it kinda looks like a mix between ber t 1 and hnd t 3.
i think the main hall looks very lovely, the central market place has some middle eastern vibes and the rest kinda feels like fra again.
i think its a good match all things considered.

Very cool! Not for anything like this, but years ago when I was working as a cell phone engineer, we were working on an indoor antenna system at ATL. I got to see a lot of places there that the public doesn’t get to. It was very cool for a avgeek!

Apparently that is luggage that has never been claimed. So instead of auctioning it off, as they would usually do after some time they held on to it for exactly that purpose. The content is real clothes and suitcase content of real people.
