In 2017, I needed to catch a flight from JNB-HRE. Only the regular airlines (SAA, BA, Airlink and Fastjet) came up on the search but I consistently noticed Air Zimbabwe had a scheduled flight but no booking link on any website. Calling their ticket office offered me the flight for R500 less than the best offer from SAA. Then a Zimbabwean told me the Air Zim price excludes the $50 airport tax payable on arrival. So I stuck with SAA.

What can you expect from a Developing country like theirs. Tanzania isn't as developed or affluent as the US or the UK. If you are being served in one of those planes that Tanzanians take service of you cannot compare and be biased to call it a Joke. It ain't for you, it's for Tanzanian and if they find it convenient, what bothers you? Fly in one of the international planes if you crave luxury. This content is just biased!

13: 50 it's like England - very nice so true, it actually reminds me of Upton Park - 14: 40 oh, come on now, she looked so disappointed, you could have at least bought something (or did you buy that lovely shirt at her's). at least you had 16: 40 good chicken - sure, if that was good chicken, you'll get a Concorde back to the Capital. But then again, you're English.

Brave man, sitting next to the propeller on a plane that old. Years back, an MD-88 (Delta Air Lines Flight 1288) departing my local airport had an uncontained engine failure and shredded two people sitting next to the nacelle. I'll fly on anything, but it makes me skittish to sit adjacent to the big metal spinny things.

I will be honest here but I think you should be thankful they made you all switch aircraft because I noticed maintainance and ground crew so something couldnhave been wrong. They must have switched for safety concerns because you said or more vibration, so they must have switched planes for safety reasons.

Shining (literally) proof of Brazilian build quality and PW118 reliability. EMBRAER designed the Brasilia for these operations, extraofficially, of course! They knew that domestic ops in the 80s could be dicey, and that half their market had been flying their F27s and Heralds on duct tape and Hail Marys.

There's too many beautiful parts of the world I haven't been yet, I want to go there first before I go to a place like this. They say you can spend a lifetime in Italy and still not see everything. That's my kind of a trip not this. But I'm glad you had fun!

Embraer 120 is still flying in Europe.
SwiftAir operated several of them in cargo config IIRC
I flew them 2007-2009 and theyre good planes, a bit dangerous if flap assimetry occurs but very fast and capable

I flew Kilimanjaro Airport to Zanzibar on a small prop plane like this and prior we couldnt board for 10 hours due to maintenance issues. Then we proceeded to use the same plane, i was white knuckled the whole ride.

Looks are deceiving. Aircraft are tough. My squadron had a c130j hit by a rocket actually hit. Managed to get it back stateside to Georgia for repairs we couldnt manage at our base lol (entire wing was hurt)

You're amazing! I have plane/flying anxiety and theres no way in hell i would get on one of those planes even if you gave me 1 million dollars. Thank you for helping me feel better about planes.

It's a shame your flight with Kilamanjaro rising like Olympus above the Serengeti wasn't a nighttime flight. Otherwise, the moonlit wings may have reflected the stars that guide you towards salvation.

Youre braver than I am. I love flying but I wouldnt step foot on some of this sketchy stuff. Safety does not strike me as a priority with any of these outfits. My carry on would be a parachute!

They should put a black frame to the missing flight deck door panel and call it the best inflight entertainment. Who needs a virtual flight map when you can see the actual control panels?

11: 53 I wonder why the guy had souvenir chocolates readily available on him. Could it be that he encountered people like the check-in guy (do you have a JIFF for us) one too many times?

Love to see that you're still interacting with comments on a video 2 years old, not many creators do that. Keep up the good work, the vids are great. You've got my sub!
