This is great Noel, watched Josh's vlog as well. As a matter of interest the Rainbow Towers hotel in Harare was originally built as a Sheraton Hotel, completed in 1985 by Yugoslavian builders, the hotel and conference centre was used as a venue for the 1986 Non-Aligned Movement, NAM summit in Harare. In the 80s and 90s this Sheraton hotel was very high class. Sheraton pulled out of Zimbabwe for operation reasons and since 2006 the Rainbow group of hotels have takGolen it over anbd renamed it Rainbow Towers, but it never lived up to the Sheraton standards of old. At 13: 32 you can see Rainbow Towers in the close up of Harare City after take off - the tall gold/yellow coloured building to the left (west) of the city centre.

Josh and Noel, the exchange rate being used in the airport cafe between the ZWLD Zimbabwe Dollar and the US Dollar when you were there was about 500 to 1. This would have been a black market rate. You could have paid in Zimbabwe dollars (bond notes) if you had them, or ecocash, if you had it. The waiter probably assumed (correctly) that you had neither. It was back in 2008 when the exchange rate was millions/billions of Zimbabwe dollars to the US, 14 years ago. It went from that ridiculous exchange rate to nothing as the Zimbabwe dollar was suspended as a currency for quite a few years.

Very enjoyable journey. Also, very enjoyable banter between you and Josh. That verbal interaction gave your viewers another
facet to your You Tube presentation. I, for one, really appreciated that. I'd like to see you and Josh sitting in the lounge upon
arrival at an airport sharing serious opinions of the flight. Some prior to accumulated thoughts, to accompany the lighter chat
that would bind the presentation together, making it both educational, and entertaining.

Great joint video. I have seen both versions. Not nit picking Noel but Dar es Salaam is not the capital of Tanzania (02. 47. That honour goes to Dodoma where the Government sits.
Carry on the good work. I too love Tanzania and will be back there soon.

I've been bingeing your videos and I have a question. How tall are you? I'm tall and would love to know how your experience would compare to mine on some of these travel videos.

Oof, horrible memories of Harare airport. My hosts in Harare got me late to my KLM outbound and I was stuck an extra two days in Zim. No the aiprt's fault. But.

You think that is bad. I flew BA from London to Cairo - over 5 hours - all we got was crisps and a mini bottle of water! Worth a trip just to show this!

I flew on a 737-200 back in 2001. It was a tuninter (airline does not exist anymore) from Monastir. Great plane but very noisy engines.
