By god you have chosen to risk your life on a 54 year old aircraft kudos to you for your guts. Recently i flew on an old Airbus 319 of Air India was terrified from Delhi to Bangalore and sent a nasty stinker to the airline for using such an old aircraft for a long flight of 2: 30 mins.
Anyways as usual your videos are very much to look forward to as you either go back in time or ahead in time to show us various destinations and airlines keep up the good work. cheers. Gowra

When I was in KZ about 4 months ago, the security wanted to know why I was there for only a week and not spending longer, took me off for an interview because they thought my passport was fake, even though it has 100s of destination stamps, and visas confirmed also with my other IDs what match all of this. Took my passport under a microscope.
It was 40c and I couldn't be bothered with their hassle, and NO AC in that airport on that time. f

I used to be a Flight Attendant on the Jetsream 4100, which is a twin turboprop, and occasionally, they have to clean loose dust and/or debris to prevent it from being pulled into the engine during start. Fantastic footage, Noel! As always, my friend. What really blew my mind is the climb rate of 375 ft/ minute. Yikes!

As much as I enjoy your work, you might want to start sticking closer to your home and family. The world is becoming a very unstable and dangerous place. If you get into a situation, don t expect any help from the government, they ve got bigger issues than helping you at this point. Stay safe and well.

I can only imagine dinner conversation of the employees talking about some crazy Brit that was traveling all day just because he liked the plane. Do be safe. The world got a little crazier yesterday in Isreal. I will see you next Sunday in your new video.

The guys hosing the area under the wing most probably experienced a fuel spill during re-fuelling. The water hose waters down the pure fuel on the tarmac minimising the potential for fire on engine start. Love your vides mate.

Wow what an aircraft. Kind of reminds me of the Fokker f27 Malaysia Airlines Kota Kinabalu to Sandakan Malaysia trip. My first plane ride when I was about 4 or 5. Hard to believe this Antanov is still flying. Enjoy your trip.

AN24 and TU154 were the only flight options when I first made business trios to Kazakhstan in 1992-3. The then Kazakhstan Airlines flight from Atyrau to Moscow via Uralsk was a long flight operated by AN24 aircarft.

Is it me or do the children in this video incredibly well behaved (with the exception of the crying baby? Just something I noticed. They seem content to explore and do their coloring books etc.

I flew on the An-24 in China in 1989 from Wuhan to Guangzhou. The plane was very loud with uncomfortable seats. I really wanted to kiss the ground in Guangzhou after the plane landed.

Noel, am surprised that before your travels you don't have a pre-printed card explaining what you are doing in the language of the countries you are visiting. would make life easier

More innuendos than Graham Norton or Kenny Everett ( all done in the best possible taste. Can you say the traffic app again and where you got it?
Definitely NOT a trip for Rach.

Great video Noel. I love this old prop plane. Manufactured in 1969, the year I was born. I wish we would still have some old turbo props in the United States. Safe travels!

I very well may have had a flight or two on that very aircraft from Atyrau to Aktobe in 2008 as SCAT Airlines. Of course, the flights were late regardless of the aircraft.

Living the dream Noel flying on these things. Thought you would have booked business class.
I'd be interested to know where exactly do you book these flights?

Kazakhstani people seem lovely and friendly. Another great video. As well as seeing all the aeroplanes, it s nice to see the experience you have of other cultures too.

in regards to those antonovs 24s being the oldest aircraft in passenger service, doesn't buffalo airways in Canada still fly some DC 3s in regular passenger service?
