So great to see you at LNY which is one of my favorite airports. Lots of different airlines and history going in an out of there over the years. For a while Hawaiian Airlines Ohana flew into there and they had larger planes and full TSA there and a baggage claim. No TSA there now with the small planes and Lanai Air took up the Hawaiian Airlines spot once they pulled out. The Lanai Air name is contracted to the operator but owned by the resorts and ultimately Pulama Lanai which is owned by Mr. Ellison. There is a whole adorable town up the road (Lanai City) shame you couldn't get up there to see it and have a meal at the Blue Ginger Cafe.

Noel, My wife and I love staying on Waikiki beach either at the Moana Surfrider or Outrigger, much more so than the other islands we've visited due to the great iconic beach with Diamond Head views, superb nightlife, restaurant choices and the of course the shopping. If you want to add in some natural undeveloped beauty, a good multiple island vacation is an easy short flight from Oahu as you discovered, but for us, Oahu is always a fun place to stay with lots to do, especially at night! Waikiki get's a bad rap from 30-40 years ago when it got a little run down, but it's all been redeveloped now to a pretty high standard.

That Skycourier looks like a great little plane for passengers. Hopefully Cessna gets more orders for them. The trouble is (I used to be a DHC-6 pilot) airlines that operate planes this size often need to carry cargo as well to make up the empty space when the seats aren’t sold out, because often they fly to places where the groceries and cargo also arrive by air, and you can’t make a profit on empty seats. The seats therefore would have to get removed and replaced almost every flight, and boxes chucked in and out of the cabin, and the beautiful interior would soon be trashed. Still, what a nice plane.

Well, Noel. you won't be seeing those planes on the mainland. Maybe if you go up to the Alaskan bush, but in the Lower 48, the only way you'd see one would be if it was a private plane. We went to all jets because the weather in the US, especially the North, is extremely unpredictable and can turn on a dime. The jets have better deicing systems, can hold more passengers, and can handle the crazy weather we have. The US has the most unpredictable weather in the world. No more propjets for commercial aviation in the Lower 48.

A very interesting video.

I myself, especially if I had children with me, would have said something to the crew. I'd be surprised if a passenger doesn't complain.
The island is the type of islands I would prefer to see if I was to visit Hawaii. I am interested in the smaller islands with more of the Hawaiian culture.

Noel! You missed a great opportunity to joke with these pilots & make their day more enjoyable! It might've helped them place that audio switch in the correct position! After landing I would've asked the pilots something like, Hey, I'm curious, is the position of the audio switch a checklist item on this airplane Do you think Josh would still be a good reference for future jobs even though they didn't part on good terms As a commercial pilot myself, I think that would've been hilarious!

I went through all 428 comments today and I couldn't find any of the critical comments that were here a few days ago those about you uploading this and potentially getting those pilots fired. I remember a lot of those comments being very reasonable, they were written in a non-aggressive, constructive manner. Either they all removed their own comments, or well it's kinda sad to see that deleting them is how you deal with criticism.

WOW! Awesome video Noel so so entertaining. I even watched the whole Surfshark sponsor video hahaha you are a closeted comedian I am sure of it that was hilarious hahahahha The aircraft was amazing the inflight entertainment incredible. i would really have like to heard more about Josh but thems the breaks! Since the plane is new, I would guess that the pilots were not completely familiar with its workings, the Garmin 1000 glass cockpit(instruments) notwithstanding. Glad they figured it out. BTW, Lanai, last I checked is still owned by Dole Foods, or rather David K Murdock's company Castle&Cooke, a company he regularly milks by taking it private and then public and then private again.

Another great video Noel! I know this is a bit off topic but I’d really love to see you do a video on Royal Brunei Airlines in the future. I’ve always found them rather intriguing since no one really seems to know much about them, yet they compete on one of the world’s busiest routes with the likes of Emirates and BA. Would be great to see your take on them!

Hi Noel, I love the new Cessna, it looks comfy. Just a note mate I agree with some other comments the audio of your Mike onboard was so muffled and not balanced with voice overs etc. My wife and I watch you over breakfast and she is hard at hearing and kept asking me what you were saying. Other than that sound issue it was informative and looked great!

Lana'i Air is also owned by Mr. Ellison as he is called over there. So its not likely to end up doing essential air service. The Four Seasons over there is really nice and the food is great. But its such a strange place. Everybody works for Mr. E. and rents from him as well. You caught a nice shot of my condo on takeoff from HNL.

This one was interesting and funny hearing the pilots having a conversation about somebody else. The price was more than I thought but tbf it’s a new plane. I wish we all knew what else they had to say but Noel if you see this do people ask you to blur them out of the video But overall thank you for another video.

Greetings from a fellow Brit, now living on Oahu! I hadn’t heard of this airline until now, but I’m flying to Lanai in a couple of weeksbooked with Mokulele Airlines. I won’t be staying overnight, but I’m excited to finally visit the amazing cat sanctuary thereit’s been on my list for a while!

Hello! I've watching your videos lately on travel. Since you've covered bus travel, I think you should try Mexican bus travel. It really surprises a lot of foreigner travelers and is usually way safer, cleaner, and with more amenities than most buses in the U. S, Canada, and even Europe.

Man, I think the extra money would be worth it to stay a night on Lanai. Such a special experience. And if you deducted the money for the flight and the money you paid for your room on Oahu, you are talking less than $1, 400. I know that is a lot, but a once in a lifetime experience.

BUT for this video (unlike my 1st comment ) - Poor Josh, but ALSO poor these pilots bc theyll likely get in trouble or even fired, yet that was probably the best part of those vacationers' day! No one looked offended, and everyone needs to laugh! Hope they dont get fired!

Amazing video, Noel! I flew on this same pair of flights on Lana'i Air's Cessna 408 last weekend! That had to be best 19-pax airplane I had ever flown in. It was much more comfortable than the Harbour Air wheeled Twin Otter I flew from YVR to YYJ not too long ago.
