Dixie, how is the ghost whisper hoodie holding up? Any downside you can report? Can you elaborate on why you went with the hoodie and not the version of the jacket without the hood? Why mountain hardware and not Patagonia, Montbell, etc. any regrets? I hope you get a chance to answer. Down jackets are not cheap and it's always nice to get insight from end users. Thanks so much. Loving your adventure.

Wondering with your water bottle and filtration system why not just switch to Katadyn BeFree Water Filtration System? I use it and it is fantastic. I suspect it is a bit lighter and certainly not as clumsy as your current system with screwing the filter and the cap on and off the bottle. You are doing the equivalent of what that system provides in any case. Just an idea. love your vids.

The only thing I look forward to as much as your videos Dixie is Game Of Thrones. You are addicting! It's great that you let your awesome personality show thru, quirks and all (we love them. By the time you get to Canada, you're going to seem like an old friend. By the time you hit the CDT you'll have hordes of acolytes following
you! : ) Keep 'em coming and stay safe!

Thank you for this! It is so valuable to actually get the names of the equipment and an honest, real world evaluation of what works for you and why. I've been curious about that bear canister. Perhaps, you can show us how you string it up at night to keep it away from bears, if this is what you do. Much appreciated!

Love your videos Dixie, your getting a little famous out there on the trail. Met a couple guys from Chicago in Desolation Wilderness and we were talking gear and I mentioned this gal on YouTube hiking the PCT this year, and one of the guys said Dixie? LOL

Great rundown on some items, easy to underestimate the need of power sources, chargers and cords. pretty lightweight combination. minimal, but I like the snow ice pick and cramp on snow spikes. Carry on and good luck, Dixie!

you might want to consider putting an elastic or crepe bandage in your 1st aide kit, can come in handy for a few things but sprained or tweaked ankle support and/or splinting a leg if needs be are a top uses

Hey, I was looking at the Arc'teryx LT base layer and I like their light colored options. but I'm pretty sure I'd get them dirty. Do you recommend staying away from wearing lighter colors on the PCT?

Good day!
Nice equipment.
But don't forget sock liners( nylon stocking that goes inside sock) they really save your feet, especially on the long mile days!
Go get em tiger!
