The 2025 Infiniti QX80 Is Large, In Charge, And. Firmly Sprung - 2025 QX80 Review

The only odd thing about the new QX80 is the suspension tuning. It's not the comfy highway cruise you might have been expecting. No, it's not BMW X5M levels of firmness, but neither does it float on a cloud like many of us had expected. Instead Nissan gave the QX80 a ride that's firmer than Escalade or Wagoneer but more compliant than some of the German competition. Is that the right move Let us know.

The center console is a cluttered mess with all of those cubbies and the direction they open. I watched Car Confections review and apparently that massive front row center console isn’t padded either. The second row center console has a glass touchscreen glued to it, I wonder how many trips to the third row that’ll survive before the screen gets cracked.
How do you up the price for everything you’ve stitched & wrapped up in leather but didn’t care to provide any padding underneath to make sure the cabin also feels comfortable Attention to details, comfort & interior intuitiveness are definitely areas where the Cadillac is more polished.

Why is nobody talking about how dumb the layout is of that front seat center console With the cupholder in the charging place lid open, there is nowhere to put your elbow when you’re driving or in the passenger seat. And I heard one you say that that top is not even soft material so it hurt his elbow. I drive 90% of the time with my left hand on the steering wheel in my right elbow resting on that center console in my Tahoe. The way this layout and material is, it is a dealbreaker.

Infinity is doing it right. Using real wood trim and very rich interiors. I don’t know what happened to Lexus, but they have definitely fall off the bandwagon and this is coming from a 18 year Toyota/Lexus fanboy. I am so disappointed in the new generation Lexus vehicles, we have our eye on QX 60 for our next vehicle because it literally is a next level upgrade compared to what Lexus has to offer
reply

I hope the buyers of this behemoth like fingerprints and scratches, because that's all they're going to see on the center console. Yikes.
Strike One: huge connected screen for the dash and center plus a screen for HVAC. ick.
Strike Two: Push button gear selection
Strike Three: Piano black EVERYWHERE.

Allow me to just say that Jeep has lost their damn minds. I knew they were heading for a brand identity crisis when the Jeep Grand Wagoneer started $12, 000 above a Cadillac Escalade. Jeep is not a luxury brand, and as long as they sell things like the Renegade, Cherokee, and Wrangler, they never will be.

I have a 2021 Nissan Armada Platinum. If that new Armada does not have a 2 speed transfer case, forget about it. All that money and no 2 speed transfer is ridiculous. At least Lexus didn’t ditch the off road chops. I will probably never take it off road, but it is nice to know you can.

The logic behind using a V6 to push the same mass you were previously using a V8 for is hilarious, and then justifying it by slapping on a bunch of turbos. Real world driving this engine will get the same or very similar mpg as the V8, it’s all propaganda to appease the tree huggers!
reply

I'm really trying to like this car but my gut feeling just outright rejects it for now. Perhaps over time it will grow on me.
The older model is a tank and the V8 made it a true beast that can take anyone anywhere across the country without breaking down.

reply

Crazy that all that extra power on paper for the turbo 6, it’s no faster than the old tried and true 5. 6L V8. It’s no secret which engine I’d prefer. Seems like the previous gen QX80 is the way to go, especially for value.

Interesting that the Sensory model was priced $100, 645, not just under $100k.
They should know how important that $100k barrier is for buyers, and how that deter buyers
Did Infiniti really need $650 dollars

It's known to be massively expensive to create an all new vehicle, and just sell ONE vehicle based on it in a market where there was no update for over 10 years. Will Nissan take this and bring back the Titan

The only thing I wish more Full size SUVs had was more adjustable seats. Only the Grand Wagoneer and Navigator have highly adjustable seats. For that money all those Big SUVs should have that.

The Lexus LX and GX are not luxurious
I was expecting them to have a similar interior to the LS, which would have been beautiful. but they dont look different than regular Toyota interiors

reply

What's the point in designing and building such a huge and heavy vehicle, but giving it so little cargo space behind the 3rd row This would make much more sense if it was 1ft longer.
reply

This thing is hideous. I absolutely hate the front end, sorry Alex. Divorced headlights should be banned from all automotive design. and that’s the thing I dislike the least.
reply

Alex, Let's be very diplomatic and say the pricing is. ambitious. To use a sporting metaphor, swinging for the fences is very bold when you are batting around 125.
reply

6: 44 what
It’s body on frame, old school rugged, but they decided to omit the two speed transfer case Weird decision. Was impressed up until this point.

reply

Rest in peace Lexus. The qx80 has done the unthinkable: they’ve ostensibly discontinued the Lexus LX from existence
Well done Infiniti. You came back

reply

With the upcoming redesigned Escalade, competitors might want to keep the heat hot. I believe this or the upcoming navigator might be an issue for Escalade
reply

Im more curious about the armada to follow this. The interior of this thing is a joke, i wonder if the volume model will handle things like the center console
