Kind of an old vid from this winter folks that I kept in the archive for a couple reasons.
-First was the video quality on it sucked. Sorry bout that, I often get distracted working and forget to check on the camera.
-Second I wanted to make sure the customer had no issues and indeed the vehicle worked prefect, ran a full drive cycle and it has been several months with zero problems.
-THIRD and most important I wanted to get another Chevrolet in with this exact EVAP system on it with the very small purge line to the tank and canister so I could see the decay rate on it. Indeed these do bleed down very, very slow compared to the later model GM's with the larger line from the tank to the canister. Any how, more of a self reassurance thing I suppose. At any rate-Enjoy!

It s always nice on any evap repair after they run their own on board test and pass to validate even after you know it was fixed and working. Did have a Malibu for brother in law not long ago had a stuck sensor and rotted filler neck which is strange to have two faults at same time on evap so glad I checked for leaks even after seeing sensor no responding at all when tested because after sensor was replaced was only a small leak but would have failed

I have an 07 Suburban and the canister failed. It plugged the vent line with the little charcoal stuff. It would not vent. Hard to put fuel in. Dropped tank and blew out the vent line. Charcoal crap went everywhere. Replaced canister, purge valve and vent valve. Don t ever want to drop the 31 gallon tank again. Kind of a parts cannon at the problem. Florida car, little to no rust.

These older 1s with the big tank take time to gain vac, as well as vent. Also, the OBD system will not run the evap system tests at 7/8th or more full, nor 1/4 tank or less. With that in mind, your scan data might be skewed, as well as time being exaggerated so to speak. Then add the variable of fuel temp. So yes, it was working fine after the pressure sensor installation: )

I know one guy who was very overweight, he looked like he was pregnant. when on a stepladder, his foot slipped from the ring and his stomach came down on the top rung of the stepladder, then he got stuck there for a moment, dangling from his abdomen. He damaged a previous hernia repair and had to go in for hernia repair surgery. True story.

Hey Eric I got a 2006 Chevy Colorado and I must around with the purge solenoid and I found the problem was on the canister in the back of the truck where that Spring operates the casement around the Spring was all cracked and the Spring was rust so one move anymore might be something you might want to check out or maybe I'm helpful

I almost spit my coffee out while Eric was telling the story of almost hanging himself with the driveshaft. Mommy heard her baby screaming. Too funny. It brought back memories of dumb things I have done over the years that could have gone wrong very quickly. Thanks for the good laugh this morning Eric, glad it all worked out.
