Jeep Wrangler: Misfire & Rough Running / Failed Injector Todd: My Jeep is doing pretty much the same thing, except 1, 3, 5 all have 13 ohms. The random misfire is only at idle and it runs and sounds smooth. If it wasn't for the money light and the scan tool you would not know that it has a misfire. So now I must look at the 6 month old coils to see if they are all working properly. The 3. 6 is just so much fun to work on. haha. Thank you so much for your educational videos. If this does not fix the misfire code then I will be driving all the way from AZ to your shop for you to fix it.

I hope you noticed while reviewing this before posting, how Mrs. O looks at you. That woman loves you, my friend. So, your hokey jokester diatribe has her enthralled - along with us, your audience. Love your videos - keep 'em coming - oh, and the Silicone grease is absolutely essential for not only lube, but higher than normal temperatures, lubricity - if you ever need to take the thing out again - perfect grease for that application. So, don't concern those who don't understand. I have 5 tubes in my toolbox and use it for lots of electrical stuff. Works fine, fails safe, and drains to the bilge. (For those with a boat)

I got my driver's license in 1967. Part of being allowed to drive the family car was that I had to do the maintenance. Every 5, 000 miles I removed the spark plugs and reset the gap. That was on a GM Pontiac station wagon. It had a V8. To remove the spark plugs you needed to disassemble absolutely nothing whatsoever. Just unplug the wire and unscrew the plug. Engines have improved greatly in the 55 years since then but, as this video shows, getting to even the most routine-service item is now nearly impossible.

This video says it is an hour old! Yet, you are not slurring your speech like a drunken sailor! Two miraculous cures? A palette and an injector! Praise the heavens! I need to change my heater core in my 2006 RAM 1500 Mega Cab. Along with the blend doors, radiator, water pump and timing chain assembly. That's going to take a week! Looking forward to your video on that job. I know that will be two cups coffee and at least 3 danish for the ordeal. Well done, Eric. Waiting for the next video!

I. Hate. Engineers. These assholes that design this stuff need a swift kick in the nards. Hard kick with a steel toed boot. Oh, here's and lets design this like this. Let's make it so you have to remove the engine to change spark plugs. F in assholes! I had the unfortunate pleasure of talking with an automotive engineer last year. Needless to say, I did not have anything nice to say.

Eric - I don't, nor will I ever, own a jeep but I just say here watching you work on one for 50 minutes because your color commentary is awesome!
Your commitment to the customer and doing the job right is an example to all of us.
Love the way Mrs. O. gazes at you - you guys are great for each other.
Keep the great content coming!

My jeep did that when it starts to run rough I turn it off an restart it an it's fine after the 02 sensors were replaced twice didn't fix it then I looked at it myself one of the 02 sensors had melted wires from the motor it's maybe three inches from the plug on it so I knew I was ripped off I could see it without moving anything

Here is a nail biter for you I have a 2007 Chevy trailblazer with the 4. 2l when I got it it would start and then immediately die I did a crankshaft variation relearn after I replace the crankshaft position sensor now every time I turn on my left-hand turn signal, it stalls out on me and I can t for the life of me figure it out

You know your in for a real good video when Eric starts talking to the parts that wont come apart - You know what, just stay there, your good we don't need to take you out and I i'm gonna have to turn off the camera I think, 'cause I'm probable gonna have to do some stuff you are not going to like to watch or hear LOL

Runs as we expected for a Fiat. I've seen direct injectors on other V6 that were easier to remove. I know you are a Jeep creep, but you couldn't give me any FCA product. They even managed to add faults to Alfa Romeo 4 cyl with their quality parts and software. Hope you have better experience with the Ram heater core.

Why do they make it so difficult? I can replace the injectors on my Kia Cerato in 20 minutes. It's so easy to work on it's crazy. But that's why I bought it. Nothing too fancy mechanically. Old school automatic gearbox and a timing chain motor. Sure it's no speed daemon but plenty for what I use it for.

3 year olds with crayons? Seems more like 3 year olds with sidewalk chalk and water pistols. Every time they almost get a vehicle design finished, a water fight breaks out and makes streaks in the chalk lines, then, instead of starting over, they just continue on - smeared chalk lines and all.

Next time before you start the disassembly, pull the fuse for the fuel pump and start the engine. It will run and quit. Key off. Reinstall the fuse. You've just depressurized the fuel rails, which prevents gasoline from running all over the engine when you lift out the rail. Rock and roll!

LOL so many people dont know to start fasteners counterclockwise before clockwise. Iv seen more stripped out holes in aluminum RF/MICROWAVE component housings with new assemblers. I use thread gauges of many sizes for FAI'S. Put a whops plug in drill retap or helicoil call it a day.

I thought the MAP sensor was used to determine the fuel mapping so the car will run out of fuel exactly one mile before the gas station? Next you will tell me I shouldn't put Washer Fluid in both the containers under the hood. Although I do wish the one wasn't so hard to unscrew.
