Sell your car for free with Carwow: Meet the all-new Aston Martin Vantage! The Vantage is essentially Britain’s answer to the Porsche 911 Turbo S. The question is, does this all-new sports car have what it takes to go toe-to-toe with the class leader Well for starters, let’s take a closer look at the design. Up top the front end has been redesigned, and you’ll find a carbon fibre splitter down below, along with vents on the bonnet to help release air that comes in through the trademark Aston Martin grille. There are all-new matrix LED headlights, and all the vents you see serve a purpose. Around the back, there’s a large light bar along with a ducktail spoiler, and across the side, there are some extended side skirts. All-in-all, it looks fantastic! Step inside and the interior set-up is very similar to recent Aston Martin releases like the DB12. The centre console comes covered in a multitude of buttons and rollers, and they’re all built to a high standard! Aston Martin now also has its own infotainment system, although if we’re being honest, it’s not exactly the best. Thankfully though that’s the only real negative of the interior. The cabin is built to a high standard using soft touch, and nice-quality materials throughout, and as you’d expect, the seats are super comfortable. Then we get to the power source - the glorious 4-litre twin-turbo V8! It may be the same AMG unit as found in the previous car, but Aston Martin has been allowed to go to work with it for this new release. As a result, it comes with bigger turbos, and now produces 665hp and 800Nm! That’s 150hp more than the previous Vantage! Naturally, all of this quality comes at a cost, with the new Vantage starting from 165, 000. So is it worth it You’ll need to stick with Mat and see for yourself! That's my next car right there but I'll get it in silver or some greyish color and the volante version not this coupe one. I prefer this car over Ferrari Roma, Porsche Turbo s or Mercedes SL which are the direct competitors. Performance is similar even though that 0-100 in 3. 75s disappointed me a little bit, I was expecting at least 3. 5s with the coupe version, ideal 3. 2-3. 4s, c'mon Jaguar f-type SVR did 3. 8s back in 2016 and it was way cheaper than astons! c'mon AM, you could do way better but the Vantage is classy and with the new interior it's almost perfect now, can't wait to get mine, hopefully they launch an upgraded version S model or something later.

Oh how I miss when Matt use to review normal’ cars. That’s the reason I came across this account about 5/6 years ago. I was looking at buying a car and wanted to see some reviews and enjoyed Mats videos. I’m obviously the minority as the followers keep coming and I don’t understand why I can’t be the only one that didn’t follow this account to watch super cars drag race or being reviewed

It REALLY annoys me when they quote figures like 1700watts fot the stereo. First of all more watts does not necessarily mean better sound, and that's no way 1700watts RMS (root mean square) with is the gold standard when measuring audio amplifier wattage. I tried to check on their website but they don't specify. It's such cynically crap marketing

how can you short list this Aston, the stering is not good--it do not look good , and it is slover to 62 than a audi 7s from 2014 --which is a 4 seater car, any porche 911 could drive circles around it, and still beat it on the track-- please get serius

Matt those are not pot holes. If you want to see real pot holes please, you are kindly invited to my beautiful country South Africa. We don't just have pot holes that are literally the size of actual pots and I mean big pots, we also have dams in the middle of the road.

The Porsche Turbo S, Both Ferrari's 296, SF90, Lamborghini Revuelto, McLaren 750s all of those cars they pulverized this aston Martin in drag race and Rollin races, Aston Martin you are falling behind like a lot. The car is beautiful but the performance isn't there

From a potential buyer: AM is stepping their game up in a way that can’t be denied. This is a very serious competitor to the 911 turbo and that is MASSIVE praise. Eventually AM is going to break the depreciation spell with stuff like this. Well done!

Personal opinion but people often put Aston martin in the same group as Ferraris and Lamborghini but they are much more of a piece of art rather than something to flash, it has Suttle elegance like a rolls Royce but with the racing history of a lotus.

why are brands making ugly cars all of a sudden, especially those that were previously regarded as some of the brands with most gorgeous cars. And previously under the radar brands are making for the most part, really good looking cars.

Mat I saw you at a track day last year. You should be the last one to call anyone slow. You're not fast yourself.
And please stop pushing Porsche. We know, you're in bed with them and you need to give them promotion for your GT3RS.

The design of the car has many similar features to the One-77, I feel. Except for the back, that looks like an updated old Vantage.
I mean in my eyes that's a compliment, since the One-77 is one of my favorite cars ever.

I’ll be honest I don’t like the design this time around. Didn’t like the pre refresh either. The dbs superleggera and the 2009 dbs and 2004 vanquish are always the kinda Aston style I like and think of. Not this

10: 10 Those traction control setting make total sense. 1 is lots of intervention, 9 is no intervention. Because everyone knows the larger the number, the less the value. A bit like Aston Martin prices really.

When you're launching it seems like the revs are too low just over 2000. Shouldn't they be at 2500-3000 It looks like a cockpit in there very impressive. And that colour is definitely flashy.

5: 25 Blank buttons in a car this expensive should be illegal tbh. What even was the option which is missing You never cover this - huge oversight as its information us car guys love to know

A guy in my local Porsche chapter has one of these in a gorgeous deep, deep shade of red called Liquid Crimson on the AM configurator. It's a lovely car and it sounds great too.

I'm so out of touch and so not the target demographic but I want a GT not a fecking track weapon because if I want a track weapon I won't get a GT. so confused lol

Your wrong about the old gen. It never looked right. This car looks perfect. It looks how an Aston should. Bold and Aggressive, yet Beautiful and Elegant

Whats with Aston's terrible integration of the front sensor on their recent bumpers Not as bad as the DB12 but they def could make it not look so obviously odd
reply

As a 2013 Vanquish owner, I can't say I like the DB12, or the 11 for that matter. Nice cars but lack something special for me. This however, I love!
