Sell your car for free with Carwow: Meet the new Nissan Qashqai! It’s a facelift over the previous edition, and Mat is about to determine if it can compete with competitors like the Peugeot 3008, Kia Sportage or Toyota C-HR. Given it's only a facelift, the exterior design is relatively similar to the previous car, although there are a few notable changes. Up front, there’s a huge new grille that almost spans the entire front end. The headlights have also been updated with the DRLs now spit from the main headlamps. Along the side, there are new alloy wheel designs available, while around the back the taillights have been updated and there’s also a new rear bumper. Inside there are a handful of updates, with the main one being a new infotainment screen that runs on Google! The rest of the dash has also been redesigned, and we love that Nissan has chosen to keep physical climate controls in the car! The digital dial screen is the same as before, and the seats have been updated and are pretty comfortable. When it comes to engines, there are two 1. 3-litre 4 cylinders, available, one delivering 140hp, and one delivering 158hp. The range-topper is the car we have here, the e-power edition, which comes with a 1. 5-litre turbo petrol as well as hybrid tech that can produce 190hp. The Qashqai range starts at just over 30, 000, rising to almost 40, 000 for the e-power edition we have here. So is it worth it You’ll need to join Mat and find out for yourself! The wireless charging pad is useless on the e-power, it can’t even maintain battery if you are running Apple CarPlay wirelessly, so it’s completely pointless if like me and lots of other want to listen to your own music and say Waze!
But I love my Qashqai e-power, it’s quick and well equipped and with a whopping 550 miles per tank

I think you under rated and cant be bothered act on this review, you also chose a not the main new colour which is oceon deep on this face lift version only. Abit bias. This car put german cars to shame with its tech and it starts from only 30k with all the tech - for leather seats you probably pay 36k.

Nissan is expensive. I do not know why nor understand. E-power is insanely good, though. But still don't think it puts it thousands of dollars above brands like Toyota or Honda. The interior is just as poor but its price is close to some entry-level luxury cars.

Garbage CVT Transmissions. They've literally had decades to fix the issues but they haven't. Trust me, just get a Toyota if you're into this vehicle. I'd rather pay more for a Toyota than notice the crazy Transmission problems with the Nissan.

Looks like Nissan is getting greedy since this vehicle is selling so well. This costs more than the Tucson and Sportage. No option of AWD hybrid and much smaller than them with less space. They used to be a value pick, but now seem less enticing.

I love everything about the epower version of this car. The only thing that will stop me from buying is you cannot do remote climate control with this car. You can do this on a cheaper cars like new MG3 hybrid and higher spec Yaris.

They've come out with an updated version of the new frontier instead of just making it a really competitive truck from the start. Look at what Toyota did what the Tacoma and that's why their leading the mid sized truck segment.

How is this Nissan's best car Best in what As a car journalist this is quite misleading. No car is best in everything. Best in off road Best in acceleration Storage capacity Best in Economy Best in cornering The most powerful

I got last years version and I hate it it's so uncomfortable the seats are horrid. Plus before I had an 2020 x trail and wish I kept that as that was a great car. Shame I'm stuck with this epower rubbish for another 2 years

Hybrid is the best option going forward, anyone buying an all electric car is losing some serious money. The second hand market for them is very very limited and most used car dealers won’t buy it from you.

Hi carwow I would like to see a drag race between Porsche carrera gt vs Lamborghini murcielago vs Mercedes Mclaren slr
it would be the greatest Video ill ever seen i hope you will do it one day

reply

Mat, be honest, the back is awful, don't be a sellout. You can't fit 3 people there, the hump is not small, the seats are uncomfortable and your knees are almost touching the front seat. Paid video

They need to introduce the rouge as an e-power option with similar or more power in the US. As long as the price is reasonable, it will be more popular than the toyota rav4
reply

The hybrid system is the most ridiculous thing in this car.
Firstly the whole idea is so freakin' ridiculous and secondly why do you need a turbocharger for a generator

reply

Can't wait to see this one on the road at night driving without it's lights on. I cant be the only one who has noticed that this to be a commonality among Nissan Qashqais

I hope the radio and CarPlay issues are better. Radio sometimes freezes, CarPlay sometimes disconnects, and occasionally mine switches units to km instead of miles.

Wonder if he meant Toyota CHR or Honda CRV. The editor clearly followed the mislabelling on screen but found CHR footage to flash on screen as that name matched

Does anyone know why Matt (or Carwow) has never reviewed anyone of the Xpeng cars I know there has been people from the UK who has done it, just curious.
reply

What the hell kind of name is that I’m in the US fyi. What is this in the US Rogue I don’t think it has any US equivalent model.
