2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime review! The 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime is surprisingly fast -- and efficient! Today I'm reviewing the RAV4 Prime, and I'm going to show you all the quirks and features of the plug-in hybrid RAV4. I'm also going to drive the RAV4 Prime and show you what it's like on the road. Funky666: I drove a hybrid Camry for a month and I must say the eCVT transmission is a disaster. It kills all the thrill and makes you drive 99% of the time in Eco or EV mode so you don't have to hear its whining. A nice city car for cruising around and chilling, but I would never want to use it for faster (e. g. highway) commutes or just driving for fun. And the emulated gears don't help at all, they're pretty much pointless and seem to be just a dramatic attempt to allow you to do something fun with this transmission, but it doesn't work so well.

It seems like a decent vehicle, certainly better than the 'normal' Rav4. However - and you touched on it - in Canada it starts at 44, 900. the 4Runner starts at 46, 200, and the Highlander at 40, 000 (the Highlander Hybrid starts at 45, 000. For an extra grand and a bit, I'm going with the 4Runner every time. Sure the Rav Prime would get better mileage, and acceleration, but the 4Runner has it beat in pretty much every other category. Not to mention, the 4Runner would hold its value somewhat better than the Prime, if that's a concern.
It does make an interesting business case, but I think ultimately, it costs maybe 3-4, 000 too much to make sense. I should also mention, the one he's reviewing is the top-of-the-line model - which goes for 57, 000 in Canada.

The 2021 Toyota Rav4 Prime having 300 HP because they replacemented the ill fated Toyota Rav4 V6. Also Toyota Rav4 Prime replacemened the Toyota Rav4 EV too. The paddle shifters for regenerative braking for BEV, EV not gear change anymore. Now, the auto makers using the paddle shifters for regenerative braking. The Toyota Rav4, Rav4 Hybrid, Rav4 Prime based on the Toyota FT AC Concept.

Okay, so. o dont like suv's. They are usually ugly and fake and gay. I like wagons. Saab 9-5 Aero -00, Audi a4 2004 and Audi a6 from 98 low as hell.
But damn, as a 25 year old male i could buy this. Seems pretty fair. A Toyota, SUV, fast, ovviously nice speakers with the subwoofer at the back and all that. Im impressed. Seems really roomy aswell

So, there's so many car auction sites in the US now that they actually have a site that aggregates all the listings from them into one. Now I'm expecting that in the following years there will be as many auction site aggregators that there will be another site that aggregates the aggregators.

Crazy that this SUV weighs 4, 300 lbs I remember when the first generation Tacoma weighed 3, 700 lbs!
Edit: I saw how much room it has in the back & cargo area, now I understand the weight, nonetheless what a great value for all the features it has + Toyota s reliability

i wanted to see how a Toyota is so I bought one and the second i took it from the showroom the hood went on fire then i took to the showroom they said that they did not sale it and it is a ilegal car so they took a jackhammer and destroyed it to the ground

Ok now I really want this. 40 miles on a charge is more than my commute and we get free charging at work. All the practicality of a crossover; and some off-roading. I don t crawl so just heading out to the desert works for me.

It's good to see a return to real cars rather than expensive toys for people with small appendages. Mind, I struggle to see the point of 300hp in this - it's just for bragging (although that may be its purpose.

Doug should adapt categories like acceleration and handling to match the segment. Like obviously 5 seconds is slow compared to sports cars but for an suv that should be like a 7/10.
