Awesome findI still had it in my head as the DeTomaso Mangusta but that only goes to show I lost it out of sight when it was still being planned. Thank you, these superexotics are always worth the time and this shorter clips make it even easier to just get a good look at it. And that roof mechanism is worth a rewatchThat daun feather jacket though. that is not acceptable

So cool I actually saw one of these years ago on a family vacation when I was a kid. I actually think this is probably the exact one that I saw My dad talked to the owner, we would have been traveling back from Maine to Ohio. So we definitely would have passed through Pennsylvania which is where you said this one was Awesome car

I've actually been crammed into the rear seats of a friend's early '80s Porsche and yeah, this thing actually has shorter seatsOn another note I'd love for someone to let you film a segment in either the '70s De Tomaso Mangusta or a De Tomaso Pantera GT5 (with its '80s supercar looks.

It isn't a reskinned mustang, but is based on a totally new platform engineered to be a Gran turismo car. They used inly the engine, gera and dash parts of mustang. Qvale car was bought in 2003 by MG car and the mangusta became the MG SV xpower. Unfortunately it lost the strange roof.

Looks like a cross between a Miata and a RX8. doesn't surprise me about the Ford relation. I thought with the Miata, Mazda having had a relationship with Mazda during the 90's. maybe some tech slid over some way somehow. Edit: so a touring reskinned Mustang?

The longer I look at this car the more mustang I see. My take is that this is a really nice mustang with a different body, interior wrapped in leather and a retuned suspension. That entire interior screams mustang. I bet its built off a mustang chassis too.

I didn't like it when it came out firstbut as years went, it still looks freshand I love the sound of the american heart. the idea is brilliant, but american market usually doesn't like this european experimental styling

The original De Tomaso Mangusta seems like one of those weird ones you'd be interested in. I don't think there were many made. I'd definitely love to see you get a hold of an old Pantera, though.

Always loved that car. I adore studies in automotive design, and this car is right up there with the likes of TVR and Spyker. Thanks for sharing this rare and special automobile with us.
