The 2023 Toyota Supra MANUAL Is a Huge Upgrade

Today I'm going to show you all around the 2023 Toyota Supra with a manual transmission, which has just been announced. I'm going to show you all the quirks and features of the new manual Supra, and I'll show you all the ins and outs of this special new model -- finally a manual transmission in the new Supra! Devin: Now that the Supra comes in a manual this is now my absolute dream car. It was the BMW F30 340i manual but now I can get the same engine and still have a manual in a way sportier, smaller car. I know the new supra is still a little controversial but I honestly believe this car will be one of the greats. Especially once people stop sleeping on the B58 and recognize how capable this engine is once modified. Finally the MK5 is a worthy successor to the MK4. Well done Toyota.

Regardless of toyota's intention of making a manual model of this, I really like the fact that they make small but important changes to it instead of just slapping a manual in and call it a day like the position of the stick being further back and the slope of the panel trim, its just little details like these that makes a difference.

Man people riding this Supra hard af, of course it s good. It s a BMW, not a Toyota Supra. Curious to see how this stacks up against a manual Z. Yes we ve all seen the video where the Z loses, but the BMW automatic transmission is much better than either of the Zs transmissions. Wonder how it would go with manual vs. manual?

so for all the auto supra owners out there (that weren't bmw fans before, rest assured that if toyota/bmw can make a manual supra, auto supra owners can retrofit manuals to their rides. Just ask any E46 M3 owner or really any auto bmw owner. it's not impossible to convert. save the manuals!

Toyota could have saved costs from the start by developing the manual alongside the supra. Few cars require such costly interior changes to accommodate transmission options. Toyota s marketing department needs a lesson as well. Who do they think their target market is for a Supra?

Doug, you gotta figure out something to deal with the echo. It s really hard to listen to the desire to watch the video is only just barely overriding the discomfort from the sound, at least for now. I still really love the videos, but this echo is killing me!

Still doesn't help my interest in the car. The appeal of a Toyota Supra was a reliable performance beast. No matter what they do, this is still a BMW under the hood and I avoid German cars at all costs. Sad since I'd strongly be considering the car otherwise.

2020 The Supra releases
2021 it gets a substantial power boost out of no where
2022 it gets a second engine choice
2023 it gets a manual transmission
Man I wonder what 2024 will bring for this thing lol

Funny thing is I had suggested a manual back at the end of 2019 to Toyota saying that there was a market in the US and they told me essentially go pound sand, we know more than you. I feel rightly smug

One thing that s unusually small, maybe disappointingly so okay, doug, no need to roast me is the infotainment screen. Yeah, that s exactly what I thought you were gonna say, I agree
