Thanks so much for your videos Scotty Is this where I submit a question? I am in sales, drive 130k miles per year, have a 2018 Toyota Highlander. Love it, but concerned about engine/transmission. I can buy an engine and transmission out of a wrecked one with 0 miles (rolled off of a car carrier) for about 4000, is it a good investment to buy and store until I need it or just wait until the car wears out and see what is available at that point?

I've had 2017-2019 XTS rentals numerous times. All were rife with electronic issues/glitches at 10-20k miles. Mirrors motors twitching, HVAC malfunctions, loss of radio volume control, navigation system failures, etc. Beautiful car to take on long drives, and handles shockingly well for a 2 ton boat (AWD ones felt underpowered though, but the MSRP is insane for what you get. I'd still rent one no question, but in no world would I EVER consider buying one

I work at a Cadillac dealership and what you are saying is true Their cars and SUV'S are crap These brand new Caddy's come out with so many recalls it isn't even funny. And dont get me started on their transmissions And when you bring in a Caddy for say something like an oil change on a couple of year ago caddy I promise I can find at least 5 things that are wrong with it and will cost you out the butt.

People still buy Cadillacs? I remember when Escalades were a thing back in the late 90s and early 2000 when every upcoming rapper and celebrity had to have one as a status symbol. it was basically free advertising for GM and kept prices up, they sold more so their quality went down because they thought people would keep buying them for the badge like they do BMW and Mercedes. They guessed wrong. lol

My sister had a 07 cadi SUV. She had a problem with the seats, I downloaded a manual and found that the manual just for the seats was 350 pages Look it up if you don't believe it. Got the seats fixed and told her to get rid of it. I don't know how many fuse boxes the thing had, some under the hood, two in the back seat floorboard etc. Last new one I bought was in 95 and still drive it. Not showboating.

Scotty i just got a 2007 Toyota Camry with a v6 engine it has 168000 miles i paid 5500 for it it was made in Kentucky. It drives and shifts fine but the car fax dont show if they ever changed the transmission fluid and it has a sealed unit and i cant check it easily what should i do? and what should i look out for in the car? it does have a minor oil leak from the timing cover as well.

My 2008s Heater Core cracked and being Cadillac the dual zone makes the cooling system run through the Heater Core as a mandatory component so the car couldnt run or itd leak coolant in the cabin and overheating on a Northstar Engine? LMAO. Did a bypass and then the Radiator cracked open too. Car was fun but break apart if I hit a pot hole or took a turn too hard. Smh Cadillac.

Scotty I have a leased 2019 Altima - brought it to have the oil change and all around service - just a couple days ago I noticed a knocking in the engine - to my surprise the car was a quart of oil low with only 6200 mikes. All tires were low in air. Definitely I am glad I leased the piece of junk. i will get rid of it and buy a good used Honda or Toyota car.

Dealers make money selling cars and repairing cars. so, why are we puzzled when they make a car that doesn't last 4 years and needs tons of service. PLANNED OBSOLESCENCE That is a fancy term that means to, Separate people from their money. Out of all the things we can do, I find it hard to believe we cant make a car that lasts longer than a few years.
