I Wont Fix This Toyota Solara TheLizardKing1967: The Toyota Solara was a piece or CRAP. My nephew used to sell them at our local Toyota dealership and he told me this. He also told me to buy a 1995 thru 1999 Toyota Avalon and it would last a very long time. I took his advice and he was correct

Hey scotty just wanted to say I got the check engine code P0420 for the catalytic converter and did what you said filled my tank to half and dumped a gallon of pain lacquer thinner in the tank revved it at 2. 5k rpms for 30 mins then since I do about 75% city driving and the rest highway it didnt work as fast. Just when I lost hope 671. 5 miles later I started the car and the code was gone thank you Saved me 1000 dollars. It's a toyota avalon and all the decent price catalytic converters I found all said wont pass smog in California thank you

That a/c compressor bearing is going to fail real quick. It spins thousands of rpms & has alot of belt tension on it. In LA, we have several pick your parts wrecking yards w cars that have near New compressors on them for 45. oo. I get them for my customers all the time. I would never trust a bearing like that. Shame on Scotty. This is the only demeritI've given him. All mechanics think & work differently. This car is destined for a break down. I'm certified in HVAC. Any noise, is a bad noise.

Have you ever worked in a shop that's had a lift and so either equipment to make thing easier for me. I changed engine and swapped trans before with out a lift BUT this Body of mine not tells me I can't due that anymore. So I been Dreaming of a lift my Back would thank me so, so MUCH. But I like your videos you tell the truth I top AUTO class years ago was got Certified have learned a lot about Newer Vechicles from my video keep them coming.

I got the same issue going on with my 2001 sienna the belt is new so i kinda knew that it was the ac compressor pulley making screaming noises. But it eventually goes away after the engine warms up no biggie I can live with a little noise rather than spending 500 bucks for a new ac compressor.

Awesome I learned something today & it is very kool. When compressor is on it does not rid on the pulley bearings but the a/c clutch bearings. Thst is sooo kool. I never ever knew that. Thanx so much for sharing Scotty. I really enjoyed this video.

hey that crank pulley does have something wrong with it, the rubber is missing on one side and the outer part has shifted big time. its got to be wobbling like mad making the belt go all over the place,

I myself would just fix the whole thing. When that universal belt breaks it can risk the engine overheating since it turns the water pump. That is a risk I won't take on a newer or a older engine.

I have this exact problem on my 2006 Chevy express cargo van. AC clutch needs to be replaced. I don't have time to do it myself, what is a fair price for an independent shop to charge to do it?

hey guys you should check out Scotty's shirts. two of my favorites are the one with Celica photo with the caption, the only car you ever need, and the other shirt that says BMW big money waster.
