were in the exact same condition. My friend was the third owner and he handed me a folder thick with all the maintenance records and work orders from day one. The funniest part was my wife was the main driver of the truck and she never drove anything that large before. So, when she went to the grocery store or other shopping she had to park the truck way out yonder to avoid bumping into anything; then when she got used to truck she could park it where a motorcycle wouldn t fit. I ended up trading the truck a year later with 10, 000. 00 for a 1999 Suburban that I had up till February this year. One cannot do that with any GM product beyond the early 2000s anymore.

Had a similar experience recently, My uncle's dad passed away so my cousin inherited his 2006 Dodge Charger R/T.
It's too quick for her so I ended up buying it for 5, 000 with 68, 000 miles on it. It's in really decent shape and was babied quite a bit. Sadly it was neglected around the time his health started deteriorating so I'm playing catch up on maintenance. Recently replaced all the spark plugs (weird going from 4 spark plugs in my Scion to 16 in the Dodge, Coil packs, Tires, Front suspension (minus struts/shocks, that's coming up soon, and of course the stereo. Also put a K&N Intake on it and I plan on having an exhaust with a tasteful tone installed when I get my rear suspension done and all fluids flushed and changed by my local shop. I do my own oil changes regularly with the OEM Mopar filter and I installed a Futomo drain valve so oil changes are less messy.
Overall I love the car a lot and it's a world of difference from my previous 07 Scion tC and 01 Hyundai Elantra, which I purchased from my uncle when his mom passed quite a few years ago.

My dad had a 94 Chevy Truck a few years back that he bought for about maybe 4, 000 or so with around 100, 000 miles on it. It had the big V8 in it and 4WD. I drove it around when I had my learners and it was pretty fun to drive. However, it seemed to not be perfectly taken care of. It burned oil and the frame was about rusted to pieces, something he never figured out until he had to replace the fuel pump on it. After the fuel pump job he did, it leaked gas since the housing was broken, so driving it wasn't really recommended anymore and he ended up selling it without bothering to fix it. They are solid built vehicles, but you need to get one that was well taken care of. It was honestly in better shape being 10 years older than the previous truck he drove, which was a work truck that was a 2004 Dodge that was rusted all to pieces and had failing electronics.

America really knew how to make a tough vehicle back in the day. I'm in the UK and we really admire your older cars. A friend has a Pontiac Chieftain from 1952 (it's a year older than me. It's his weekend toy and he loves it. That thing is built like a tank. No rust, quiet and comfortable and everything works (even the original - tube, not transistor - radio. Has a mighty thirst with that big old V8, but it just keeps on rolling. It's no road burner, but it's a pleasure to travel in. Absolutely NO plastic crap anywhere on it. Light years ahead of the stuff most of our manufacturers were churning out in the early 50s. Such a shame the bean counters have ruined so many formerly great companies with their penny pinching.

3 years ago I purchased my 88 full size gmc jimmy old square body from a guy that passed away earlier that year in February. The lady who was in charge of his estate sale was a family member and did not want it being sold to someone who would tear it up. I got it later that year in May as a birthday present for myself after she turned away two previous buyers. One who wanted to cut out the fenders and make a mud truck the other wanted to low ride it. I pulled up in my 90 square body burban reassured her it was going to a good home we had a nice conversation price was right and the deal was real.

I have a 99 Suburban w/abt 120K miles on it. (can't remember as I drive it so rarely, and the tires rot out before I wear them down. I think I've been putting on less than 2K on it the last several years, and it still runs well. Wish the AC was working, and the radio is still stock with a tape player and CD player, but. it works well! Definitely cheap to fix, and runs well! And it's rock solid. Had to laugh at your comment about being made in Flint, and jobs being gone there too. Sad to see such jobs gone.

I am making a offer on a dead friends motorcycle. Very difficult. He just passed. Don't want to rip off his spouse in a time of need or anytime. I don't want to pay to much either. Will people think I am trying to use this to my advantage? She called me about it. But people will think what they will think. Is the whole thing inappropriate? Should I do this? How to do this the right way? I had hoped you would cover some more of this kind of thing.

I kinda wonder why people would be superstitious about that, really. If I died and was still paying attention I'd be pretty happy if someone was taking care of one of my babies. And, those were pretty good trucks. Big and heavy for my tastes, unless I needed like a van, but I actually did a lot of driving in one on one vacation with a bunch of friends back in the 80's. And you could air down the tires and drive onto the beach, even.

I once rented about 25 years ago a 5. 0 Mustang. I drove the car about 10 miles on the freeway. But I felt a heavy presence behind me for some reason. It was negative inside the car and I had never felt that before inside a car. So I took it back to the rental and told them I heard a odd noise. I asked for another car to use. And I ended up getting a Ford Taurus. And I did not feel any bad feelings I felt in the 5. 0 Mustang!

Scotty is more excited over this beautiful masterpiece GM than Toyota. That is a great truck that owner took excellent care of that truck. Typical man I guess like myself take care of anything house, car device etc. If something ever happens to me know someone would love to drive my car looks brand new after 5 years not sure how treated when I'm gone but would love for someone to drive instead sitting under carport collecting dust.
