Toyota Just Changed the Game with This Corolla SUV

This intelligent Manual Transmission is my first manual car - and I find this feature very helpful.
I do have to turn it on each time I drive - default is off
Blips the throttle on downshifts, helps with upshifts in some way I haven t figured yet, and makes it easier to shift into 1st when starting off without stalling.
Still have to use the clutch pedal though. I m sure a computer could do it more dependably as it takes a lot more concentration on my part compared to my automatic pickup truck

Thailand seems to be upping its game and becoming a more important venue on the Asian/Pacific auto scene.
So now instead of actually shifting the gears in your car the computers will allow you to feel that you are shifting the gears even though you really are not? Dumb and Dumber until the auto makers decide that the presence of an actual human driver is just a nuisance and is no longer required, anyway. Let's give them a toy to play with (like a baby's pacifier, while our AI computers do it all, automatically. BRILLIANT!

Scotty buy my first 2002 Mercedes Benz S500 3 years ago with 178k miles for 2500 from my cousin told me it wanted just a front bumper Scotty after I bought it it everything I spend 5000 bucks buy parts an fixing it at the mechanic, got screw it was a pipe of junk got read of it for 900 bucks, I'm thinking about buying a 2013 2015 Lexus RX 350, 2013 2015 Lexus RX450h hybrid, 2013 2015 Highlander, or a 2013 2015 Toyota 4Runner 50 thousand miles My budget is 15k-18k planning on keeping it for a long time I don't want to get screwed again what's your opinion and Dose SUV Engine an transmission with that many miles?

I love Toyota but my MIL has a brand new RAV4, lives in welfare housing 200 a month claiming disability, charges rent to her 3 adult children, has her boyfriend AND ex husband living unclaimed there together, and put her daughter on CERB who's not qualified for it and runs an underground tattoo parlor.
God I hate her and her RAV4 I wish Toyota wasn't so we'll made and it exploded on the freeway.

Simply teach all Americans how to use a clutch pedal. Then the whole world could all enjoy manual transmissions in every non- electric car. Xtrail, RAV4, CRV all have manual transmissions in Europe, Asia and South America. Because drivers over there learn how to use the third pedal at the same time they learn how to use a steering wheel

I knew a guy way back in high school that had a VW Beetle with that stick shift automatic transmission that he's talking about at 2: 12. It was an incredibly simple system and design. You just let up on the accelerator and shifted. Those older Beetles ran like a Swiss watch. There's something to be said about simplicity.

My 2014 ford escape slames 2 second then fine after that kind
Like the ford focus. My mother can not ride in the car cause her RSD a nerv disease. Only 114 thousand miles, real sad cause I'm her care taker. Second ford I had and still disappointed. I rather get a chevy that has better transmission and have other stuff break

UGH! Just what we need, another blah crossover SUV. Can t tell them apart as it is. Agreed, this computer controlled manual transmission is a joke. Just another complex feature to go wrong. I love standard transmissions in smaller vehicles. Fun to drive and you get the full potential from the available HP.

The Corolla Cross will essentially replace the unloved C-HR (which was supposed to be a Scion model originally. I expect the Corolla Cross in the USA to come with two engines: the 141 bhp 2ZR-FAE _Valvematic_ engine, and the 169 bhp M20A-FKS _Dynamic Force_ engine.
