Eric
I like your videos.
As for running low on oil, my usual advice to people is if they run the engine low on oil, to fill it back up and sell the car. It is only a matter of time until the engine fails.
My oldest brother used to be the chief mechanic at a dealership in the early to mid 1970s. He told me about one woman who would blow the engine every year because she never had the oil changed and so would buy a new car each year. She would bring the car in from time to time for something minor so he just started changing the oil whenever she brought it in and billed her for it. She was happy as a lark with that because of what she saved on buying a new car every year. She just never thought about oil.
By the way, I have a 2015 Ford Taurus I bought used when it was 1. 5 years old with 22, 000 miles on it. I'm now up to about 45, 000 miles (I don't drive all that much. The next time I take it in for an oil change, I'm planning on having them change the transmission oil as well and also replace the air filter and the cabin air filter. Is there anything else I should do at that time?
Thanks.

Scotty,
My niece bought a 2005 Dodge Neon, with a newly replaced engine for 600. The guy she bought it from said it needed a shift solenoid for the transmission. After it was replaced, it still wouldn't move over 10 mph. We replaced the entire trans with a used one with 40K miles, and it still won't go over 10 mph. Tried to see if the solenoid needs programming, but no clear answers to be found. She's attached to the thing and won't get rid of it! Help!

Thanks for the info on the gas tank evaporating. I don't drive much, city only, once a week 7 miles. Start the car every three-five days for 10mins. Seemed to be depleting gas but no gas smell, everything tight under the car and inside the hood, car runs fine, had me wondering for a long time. I'm now checking my power steering fluid and brake fluid levels.

part of the problem is the ONLY performace car chevy makes is the corvette. impala ss is a joke the camaro is slow and hard to drive every day. They used to get gusys going in yo look at the camaro, impala and leave with a minivan. now the only they sell worth buying is their trucks

Hey Scotty, I m a college student who goes to a university about 400 miles away from home. I m going to be purchasing a used car pretty soon and would like to get your opinion on the best affordable and reliable mid-sized SUV. What would be your pick for someone as young as me?

Remember Kodak, that world wide mega company? No longer here disappearing very quickly because it did not manage a technology disruption (digital cameras) into its industry?
We may be seeing some old names of large mega companies disappearing, as EVs technology comes in.

This isn t entirely the fault of Chevy, this is just a pivot being taken because of the after market products being popular. I ve never been a big fan of Chevy but I have to admit the new Corvette is a homerun even if Scotty won t.

Mr.
My Brother has the 2018 SS, it has a horrible alignment issue. The front tires are so slick now you would have thought he rotated the tires. Gm said it's not under warranty 18k, it's around 500 hundred dollars to fix the problem.
