Bad Toyotas You Need to Avoid GoldStar5: I Inherited my dads old 2005 Toyota Camry and it only has 66, 000 Miles! My main car is a 2007 Hyundai Elantra thats at 119, 000 miles. Both cars still run great but the only thing thats sucks about the Camry is that the paint is chipping off due to the hot sun in summertime. Other than that it works great and is a great score for a second car!

Scotty, good stuff as usual but let's talk about the Toyota sticky dash fiasco and the 2700 Toyota charges to replace the melting dash on my garage queen Toyota Solara SE V6 Sport Coupe. Just one of many Toyota and Lexus models ranging from 2003 to (they say) 2012 with deficient interior plastics which outgas and then as they suddenly degrade cause visibility (glare and reflected glare) and health and safety issues. It is estimated 3. 5 million vehicles were impacted including the 2004-2006 Lexus RX 330, 2007-2009 Lexus RX 350, 2005-2008 Lexus RX 400h, 2003-2005 Toyota 4Runner, 2005-2010 Toyota Avalon, 2007-2011 Toyota Camry and Camry Hybrid, 2004-2010 Toyota Sienna, and the 2004-2008 Toyota Solara. 2006-2008 Lexus ES 350, 2003-2008 Lexus GX 470, 2006-2008 Lexus IS 250 and 350, 2007 Lexus LS 460 (how cool is that, an ultra reliable, very expensive luxury sedan with a sticky shiny dash and door panels. Toyota was forced by lawsuits to extend the warranty to 10 years but that ended in 2017 and was not offered to owners of well maintained 2004 - 2006 owners. My polished baby only started to turn to crap in July 2020, far too late for Toyota to care. What do you think Scotty?

I understand if your Uber driver driving a Toyota Prius in the city. Using a hybrid. 50 miles a gallon. Not a problem. Unfortunately the maintenance on a hybrid vehicle is super expensive so it s not really cost-effective. In the long run it s gonna run you up the wise zoo. I never could ve understand why people buy hybrids or electric vehicles. The maintenance on these things are crazy. The cost and parts if you can get them good luck. These car companiesLove to suck or people into new technology, what people don t understand is that these people want to recoup their research and development costs on their backs.

What do you like of the Chevy Vega that came from the factory with a V8 engine? What do you think of GM's plan to only offer a V6 engine in the 1/2 trucks in near future? Also, I have a 2017 Chevy Silverado 1500 4WD, crew cab with a 6. 2L engine & 21000 miles. The Goodyear Wrangler 18 P265/R18 ) tires in my opinion suck since the don't hold pressure. None of the dealerships can find what the problem & sure in the hell know what they doing when they patch a tire. Had to buy 2 new tires because the patches failed. If I would have to been able to find the leaks I would have plugged the tire myself.

Has anyone got a Toyota Solara 2005/2006 with 2. 4 2AZ-FE engine? How does it work? Any problems with oil consumption or oil leaks? Are there problems with head bolts? I want to buy one and I wonder is it a good car? Cheers from Poland! :o)

Nothing is ever made properly anymore. All throw away like an old TV set or toaster. Do yourself a big favor. STAY AWAY FROM FORD ESCAPE SUV. No room and defective wire harness. The harness issues kill the engine while driving.

Scotty, I'm just curious if all you say about cars applies here in Europe (UK particularly? I mean, does it matter which country we are about car reliability? Or all models should be the same wherever you are. Thanks

My 06 Scion tC has this engine and ended up overheating. I did shell out 2k getting it rebuilt and seems to be doing good 4 months and counting. No oil dilution problem as far as I can tell though
