Well. regarding air sucked into radiator. it would happen when the engine cools off. from where the air is coming. from the expansion tank/radiator water tank. as we all know. when water is hot inside the system, the expended water will spill from the radiator into the expansion tank. and when engine cools off. cold water actually create vacuum inside radiator and suck water from the expansion tank. but if that tank is empty. air will be sucked in. u r awesome scotty. just wanted to point that out. cheers

scotty kilmer I have a 2001 dodge durango 4wd with the 5. 9 v8 Im having a problem with trying to figure out what is wrong with my brake pedal when you push it, it goes down to the floor and has a hard time braking with brand new brake pads and rotors and master cylinder i also bled the brake lines there is no air in the system im thinking the only other things it could be is the brake booster or the 4wd abs computer not working properly. Have you had any kind of problem like this?

Its to find a good trustworthy mechanic these days. Allot of them lie or try to advantage of you so that they can make money. Ive seen news investigations where they create a problem and the mechanic at the shop tells them they need to replace a part that doesnt need replacing. The problem can be that the something is loose or dirty and just needs tightening or cleaning, not replacing.

Hey Scotty I had a question. Since I just bought an automatic transmission fj cruiser I was wondering if there were any driving habits that I should have such as shifting to neutral when I come to a stop at lights like I do with my manual or should I just keep it in gear. And is there anything else should I do to keep the transmission and engine as strong as possible

I have a 2006 Kia Rio and the automatic transmission is starting to get stuck after long drives. I just had a mechanic flush on my transmission and change the filter. He found a little but of metal shavings on the pan. Should I rebuild it or should I get rid of the car. P. s I have a good discount on the parts I get them at cost. Maybe you can give me some advice.

Hey Scotty l, Ive got a manual 95 Nissan Hardbody that can grind into second gear when its cold. It didnt do that before I had my clutch pack replaced. Im thinking he put in the wrong transmission fluid. Goes away when it warms up after a long time. Wont grind if I shift very slowly, and only when shifting into 2nd. Any idea? Thanks and merry Christmas.

Hey Scotty Kilmer, I have a 2001 honda civic EX. It tends to start rising in temperature as I drive for about an hour. Then I usually pull over until it cools down. I have coolant, & the cap is ok. Could it be that maybe I would need a fan switch replacement. Also Merry Xmas, hope you have a great one.

Scotty youll get a kick out of this. I just scraped my 2000 Chevy venture the transmission way going out. I babied to the scrape yard, not 5 minutes after I signed it over. They smoked the transmission and it blew up. Smoke coming from under the hood. I had to laugh. Not my problem anymore.
