I have a question I bought a Toyota Corolla s 2007 with 140, 000 miles at a loan company for 900 but since I had it for a year I been replacing parts constantly little the windshield wiper motor the batter the brake lines many sensors and the neutral safety switch and spark plugs and the alternator and belt and arms some fuses and now the throttle body light comes up and it sometimes stops when Im at a red light or stop sign or turning lane I have to fix some parts in the transmission and wondering is it worth investing more into or do u think its not worth it or more things will mess up

But I have to say the Toyotas awesome, if one of my headlights go out I can go in the store and buy a new headlight and put it in myself, the traction control system works excellent and the brakes work excellent the cars predictable, in curves and because the front wheel drive is intelligent front wheel drive I can get out of a rut with snow on it oh, the car Works admirably in extreme cold conditions to oh, it does a good job I know when I take a Toyota I'm getting there and I'm getting back and it's very unlikely unless I don't take care of the car I'm going to need a mechanic

Ive seen dozens of your videos and Im seeing less and less reason to watch. Youve been doing this for 51 years (as you mention in almost every video) and you dont repair or rebuild drivetrain components? Those guys down the street are making a killing. And the next time I get another customer who has a drivetrain issue, Ill make some good honest money because I DO have that skill set. Along with everything you actually DO do, Scotty. Yknow what? What do those guys charge? Ill take some cheddar for an easy diff install/rebuild. Send some of them my way

Go to the hardware store & buy a gallon of Xylene (shellac thinner) then dump it in your tank. Drive your car & clean the injectors at the same time. Back before we had injector cleaner at a Ford dealership I worked at we used 1/2 gasoline & 1/2 xylene in our injector cleaning machine as per the Ford service rep instructions at the time (1986. Xylene also makes great racing fuel in a pinch 128 octane lol

I dont think I am the only one who has the placebo of Lucas UCL makes more horsepower, I had done numerous times of switch back and forth between having UCL vs not and the car always feels more powerful after adding the UCL. I have tried also tried other fancier looking bottled fuel additive such as STP and Royal purple but this plain looking cheap stuff actually makes a noticeable difference every time.

I ran only premium (and name brand) fuels in my 1993 Nissan Sentra 1. 6l from day 1. At 230k miles the injectors were too plugged to even start the car. Dealer said it was injectors and I laughed. Changed them and viola, car ran like new. Began using Techron and Lucas injector cleaners every 15k miles. NI'm now at 360k miles and it runs like it did when only 200k miles old: Donkey face laughing:

Most differential work is replacing carrier bearings, pinion bearings and axle bearings. It's very satisfying work and if you take a class and buy a few special tools you can have a lot of fun. You do have to study it first, especially pinion depth, but if you are only replacing carrier bearings which is the most common job you only have to know how to measure backlash and adjust backlash.

Hey ScottyI gots a 89' Toyota Celica ST that's been giving me a problem where the whole car kicks when I step on the gas or let go of the pedal. I've taken it to my mechanic and he has confirmed that the transmission is still good cause it's shifting at a low RPM and the engine mounts are good. Any idea what could be causing the kick that makes the whole car jump? Thank you Scotty

Why does Scotty and others talk highly of the F150's? Those were notorious for spark plugs ejecting or breaking in half during a change out. Then you had to remove the head of the engine to free it up. Along with cam phaser s going bad on those engines. not a cheap repair. Maybe the new ones are better but those older ones with the 5. 4L triton can be costly to maintain.
