12 eh? Cheap. In Australia I had the gearbox oil changed in my DSG gearbox Skoda Octavia (VW) and it was 40 a litre (basically a quart. And that was changing it using a mate who was a mechanic. It took nearly 8 litres so over 300 just for the transmission oil It was a major service including the cam belt. Skoda wanted a MINIMUM of 3, 000 for the service. I got it done for about 1200. Even so, it has been a very reliable and great car to me for the past 8 years with 230K on the odometer. It's diesel so the economy is over 40 mpg consistently.

Hey Scotty, how about showing us a trans service on a Japanese car with no dipstick. Im about to do my 2011 Lexus IS F with the Lifetime Fluid at 60K mikes. Using aftermarket filter and gasket but all Toyota WS trans fluid and pan plug baskets. Im a bit intimidated on the fluid level check with jumping two ports in the OBD port and playing shifter games to get the lights on the dash to read the trans fluid temp. A video on how to do this right would be great for us Japanese car owners that want to do their own work

Hi Scotty I know you have talking how Kia sucks and Hyundai is a sister company it also sucks really bad. But o have noticed that starting early 2000's Hyundai cars are getting better. I had a 2013 Santa Fe sport and 2015 Elantra sport. They worked absolutely fine. Now I'm thinking about the 2015 Genesis sedan ultimate trim. So my question is, I have been doing online research but I didn't hear any horror stories about that vehicle. Did you ever work on the 2015 and on Genesis vehicles? Thanks

Im a big Acura fan. I just retired my 2009 TSX with 226, 000 miles and honest to god no repairs other then brakes, oil, battery, and wipers. My wife has a 2016 TSX that has been trouble free so far. My TSX was a 5 speed auto. The TLX is the 8 speed. The 8 speed would pull ahead of my 5 speed even though they had the same hp and torque. The 8 speed does a better job of keeping you in the torque curve.

How can this be an Uber Black car? From Uber: Must be able to comfortably carry at least 4 passengers. This car would be Zero. The front passenger squished up to the windscreen and the 3 in the back slammed in like sardines. As for the DCT they are notoriously poor in start/stop city traffic. NOT Luxury, NOT comfortable, NOT interested.

When you say change the fluid out is that different than change the fluid? (is there such a thing as change the fluid in) why do you refer to out while changing the fluid? is it because you are outdoors? So if im in my garage am I changing the fluid in? please clarify what you are saying because words matter. Thanks

Ive owned both brands. my last Honda accord had 325k miles before the transmission failed. not too bad if i do say so myself, and the great thing is that my mechanic bought the car and his daughter has put 85k more on the car since. of course he has repaired the transmission. Love this brand.

Hey Scotty, my car battery in my 2007 Toyota camry died recently and it was replaced with the same kind of battery about a few days ago. The idleing has stopped but sometimes it starts up slowly as if the battery is dying. This only happens from time to time. What would you recommend?

Good video. Now I can show this to my son and say this is why we buy you an Acura ILX instead of a Civic Type R for celebrating your university offer. It's a better and sportier car. Everyone at the university will agree. He will totally agree with us and I can't wait to see his happy face
