I don't think Salt Bae deserves the hate he got. He's just doing his job, and tbh, don't most highly important people like a president have some kind of power that pretty much, would be dangerous to be on the bad side? What if denying service could lead to something that will endanger not only salt bae, but all the people of his business? Do you think that will help towards the problem in Venezuela? Hell, he might have danger at his doorsteps just by pretty much exposing the dictator for how shitty he's being, eating at a high price place while his people suffer. I think I agree with Arkalidor's comment on how Salt Bae is pretty much showing how terrible Maduro is, eating at a fancy place while Venezuela is suffering. And the whole Rubio rant is just ass, basically enabling people to just attack a person's business and shaming him.

i never believe them when they say no data logging there is no such thing, they log all your data, what they actually mean is as long as you are not doing illegal things your logged data wont be given to the police which isn't really the same thing as no logged data maybe i'm worng though, but i doubt it, i find it incredibly unlikely they do not log data, their service would immediately be used primarily by criminals doing not good things through their vpn. it would be like a new supermarket opening with a sign that says no security cameras in this building i use a vpn anyways because i accept they likely log all your data, and since i'm not a criminal i just dont really care, however i have to assume they are keen to sell your info to the highest bidder and make all sorts of money from your info

I don't think we're really appreciating what salt bae has done. It very likely wasn't on purpose, but he DID make it possible for the world to come together in anger over the absolute travesty that is the venezuelan leader. Maybe everyone coming down on Maduro at once will force a somewhat human reaction out of him - preferably along the vein of putting his people before himself. You know, as a leader is expected to. The job was never about neglecting the needs of the people, or strictly enforcing a class separation through regulations and taxes, simply so your level of opulence above the people could be seen from space. It's not about flaunting yourself and fluffing your feathers of self-importance. Someone needs to remind him of that. It's just Louis XVI all over again.

It's very depressing to see a country that had so much to offer now is reduced to a fat bastard in the news for eating steak while millions of people have to share what they can, look through trash and skip meals because of inflation in which the minister of finances has said he doesn't believe in among other things and any food or supplies sent are stopped and kept by the military. There are kids dying daily, ill people having to travel miles to find one medication or even worse where nurses have to ration out the medication to who is worse, and yet millions of people who escape that horror and can barely pass a day without thinking of the family and friends they have to leave behind.

Regarding the Saltbae incident: I think the first tweet was enough. It showcased his point in a good way and focused on the most important problem at hand. The second tweet was unnecessary. As you said it's a resturant which contact information can easily be found online, and in my opinion there was no reason for him to tweet out that information or call on people to stand up against a restaurant. It shifts the focus from Maduro to this resturant, and it's not the restaurant we need to stand up against - it's Maduro. You can shame people for supporting something they shouldn't support, but you shouldn't move the main focus from the main problem.

You could argue that Musk is a genius engineer and ideas man, but a savvy business man he does not appear to be. Tesla's products are exciting but the company is being run into the ground through mismanagement and bad practices. It is burning through cash like nobody's business and has consistently failed to meet its own production targets. Eventually something will give and the investors will stop giving it more capital. Musk is a technologist, he should really step back and hand control to someone who knows how to run a car company, before the potential of Tesla is lost.

I want Full disclosure. Philly day do you own tesla stock or options? ;) and are you still holding bitcoin or did you bail because you realized you were invested in a currency that was not backed by anything of real value? (Unless you consider code real value) (full disclosure I do not) seriously sorry for busting balls but I am curious? Whats a good investment these days? I feel the tone Tesla and crypto was four years ago but maybe I am wrong. Looks like the Saudis want In Though that is what an interesting development with the 1B to the competitor

A business is a moralless entity, professionalism is about separating feelings/opinions from work. If a person enters the business door, she's a customer, no judgement, simply serve or don't. There are many things that you can disagree with from what a person does, is like, as long as that person is not a nuisance, i don't see a reason to kick her out. It's up to the manager/owner if you'll decide to run a business on emotions and/or morals, or professionalism. The chef or whatever maybe didn't know, maybe just decided to serve as best as he could.

So weird how you're one of the few people to correct the MGK story. It may be nothing to most people but I've even seen music publications not update and it comes off as bias rather than just telling us a story. This seems weird to harp on but the media, especially publications bigger in music, can have an impact on an artist's career. Shouldn't matter who you're a fan of, I was sick of seeing this story gain so much traction with few updating. So I appreciate that you always go the extra step to correct stories you've reported on.
