Disturbing Youtube Controversy Arrest, Lilly Singh BTS Backlash, Bill Cosby in Cuffs, & More Lunalocket: I am sick of Army saying shit about this as an Army myself, I am beyond embarrassed. One someone actually working for the UN in some capacity whilst reporting on the issue added her own little bit of 'fangirling' at the bottom before signing off - and nobody had a problem with this. By your logic it should have had the same detrimental effect as that of Lillys conduct, but it didn't, and nor should it have. This is compounded further by the fact that the girl from the UN had presented her fangirling within a 'written' piece, meaning it had time to have been edited and removed if after second thinking it was deemed more appropriate. Poor Lilly had to speak 'on the spot' - she probably threw out that remark as an ad lib and should therefor be more understandable as per its occurrence. t was most likely done out of nerves You don't get second chances when doing public speakingTwo I wouldnt even class this as a mistake, and if it is, it's an exceptionally minor one. BTS wouldnt think of it as a mistake and in any case - they all about forgiving people, being nice to others and promoting their message of god damn LOVING ONESELF. God damn, i don't need to repeat that do i? They literally want to end hostility and hatred and that's the one thing a whole bunch of of apparent 'ARMY's are subjecting this poor girl to. They would want her to love herself and would be disappointed in those ARMYs for getting in the way of that by saying nasty and dramatic shit about her. She is just a person too. very imperfect. just like YOU. You think you are defending them here and saying things you naively think BTS would approve of (because some of you are just desperate to imagine being praised by your 'oppas', but you couldnt be more wrong they would be saddened with how you are attempting to make a mountain out of a mole hill. Its like you didnt even listen to the point of their entire campaign. How can on love oneself if others are forming an angry mob and reacting in a hostile manner over your tiny-ass mistakes? Hmm? Now i know all of you lot have said something or done something bad in the past or messed up in some way or said something embarrassing or that you later regret. You have made some ill-thought out choices before. I also know that you have at least one instance in your past where you have said or done something far worse than this so you shouldn't dare attack someone else when you know this to be true its hypocrisy to the highest degree and we are not special just because we are anonymous you are just as imperfect as superwoman, if not worse. To those ARMYs (And not those ARMY who are above this nonsense) - Grow up. TLDR - As an Army i am embarrassed by the conduct of many Army here - forming a witch hunt for a girl that merely made a small 'mistake', if that - just a error in judgement. The hypocrisy is hard to ignore, as the people hurling criticism also forget how they are also NOT perfect themselves, but think someone they are special and being criticised does not apply to them by virtue of their anonymity. BTS would be sad that their LOVE YOURSELF message isn't being properly absorbed - as it was obviously intended by them to include loving others and not being hostile to others either.

I think someone that hasn't seen what the fandom has gone through from the inside has difficulty comprehending why what Lily said was triggering for the fans, BTS has been producing music aimed for helping and healing youth since their debut in 2013 and years after years, we see people putting down their effort and accomplishments. To have a speech at UN right in the middle of their busy schedule and a world tour was already a lot for them and RM especially, having to memorize that whole speech which isn't even his native language, and have the courage to stand in front of world leaders. They were the UNICEF ambassadors but them being the only idols in the room already puts them in a controversial spotlight, they needed the recognition that their words mattered, all the fans were watching through livestream and shaking either in nervousness or pride for our leader because we know how important this is. Now from that perspective, can people see why Lily joking and say haha all the fangirls are crying, is so degrading and disappointing especially coming from someone with a big youth following? Now yes it was one sentence and it probably should've just been worded a little better, but I don't think people should think the fans are freaking out over nothing it ain't that deep, because the impact of this speech on the world's view on BTS was important to us and her commentary was unnecessary and unhelpful

Absolutely Lilly's comment wasn't that bad but having been a teenage girl before it's incredibly frustrating when your interests are demeaned or considered less or ridiculed just because it's mostly popular with teenage girls. So of course young girls get incredibly defensive especially when the object of their admiration stands up for them and acknowledges not just the fandom aspect of fandom but also the community aspect that can do so much good for the world, and then someone reduces it again to just crazy fangirls who cry when their bias smiles. Again I'm not saying Lilly was purposely undermining BTS' speech or whatever, that was an unfortunately timed and worded comment that had no place when and where it was said. The best action isn't ganking Lilly though, it's to turn the focus back to Namjoon's speech which was incredible, which is nothing less than what we came to expect from our boys (Also as a non-native English speaker I know how exhausting it is to have to talk and think and interpret in English for an extended period of time so kudos to BTS for always including international audiences as much as they're able to(And to people getting interested in BTS, go give a few of their songs a listen, they're really versatile songs about a variety of topics in a variety of genres, you might find something you like )

Another criminal behind bars is a good thing. Better late then never. Phil, I am not American, but I am registered to vote in my country so, I will make sure there is someone to laugh at Donald Trump: pI remember watching a video from superwoman reacting to a bts music video. She was fangirling hard. So I think she being a fan herself spoke for the fans like: I would be crying at home seeing this on TV, but I am here in front of you, people I admire, and I have to keep myself together. I don't think there is anything wrong with the comment itself. But maybe she should also have said more on what a big impact that will have and all you said Phil. And by the way I am surprised superwoman got to speak there in the firstplace. Shout out to her A youtuber making it big time Something to celebrate, I think. Donald Trump being laughed at was funny. I really liked the faces of the germans while he was talking about them, too. They went What the f? and grinned while shaking their heads. Laughable lies in front of an intelligent, informed crowd. I wish Trump would get that reaction every time. Cosby is in jail. I hope he serves 10 years or just dies in there. Throw him in and lose the keys. That guy is a monster.

FACTS: BTS is a group of young men composed of talented singers, underground rappers, dancers, songwriters, lyricists, composers, producers and instrumentalists. They write songs about social and political issues. Their albums have diff. concepts w/ story lines, symbolism, metaphors and theories. Also, BTS music is versatile w/ different genres like HIP-HOP, EDM, LATIN POP, POP, POP ROCK, BALLAD, JAZZ, R&B, HYPE song and a lot more. They are also PHILANTHROPISTS who have donated millions and millions to UNICEF to help end violence against children around the world. Plus, their merch proceeds will go to UNICEF as well as 3% of their album sales. Don't judge them just because they are Koreans. Also, they are literally geniuses and well-educated if u don't know. Also, BTS members may not be fluent in ENGLISH but at least they know more than 1 language. They are well-educated too. The leader, spokesman Kim Namjoon speaks 3 languages w/ an IQ of 148. He's a rapper, poet, songwriter, lyricists, composer and producer and a consistent honor student and one of those people who topped the NATIONAL ACHIEVEMENT TEST in South Korea.

a local calling namjoon by his birth name wow i'm blessedin my opinion, i think she's a bit into the hype train. it feels like she doesn't really know much about them and just likes their music and maybe their message as well, but at this point that's what the majority of locals (non-kpop fans) see and enjoy about them nowadays. being a real army is developing a sense of emotion and care for the members and appreciating them for who they are as people rather than what they represent in society nowadays. and this should go for every celebrity. although seeing lilly's content about bts leaves a little bit of distaste in my mouth, i think people were overreacting to the comment. i know it's annoying to see the boys constantly looked at as this group that all these crazy fans like, however in this situation she added a comment out of a rush to get back onto her speech. it was nice of her to acknowledge the other #EndViolence campaign and it made sense for her to, but hopefully in the future she will think what she says through if she wants to add something not written on her script.

Dear Phil, I've noticed an opinion you contain that I view as dangerous - this opinion regarding how numbers are the definition of your success numbers define your existence on a platform (I've heard you say those exact words in a video) - it gives validity to the jake paul's and donald trump's of the world, and doesn't consider the backend of how they attained followings, only the up front nature of the fact they have people paying attention to them, and giving them money. Personally, I don't view The Paul Bros as successful, and I don't view Donald Trump as a success because of what they allow to happen. I ask you to consider why you have this opinion, and hoping you can change it. (the thing that showcased to me that this is something pretty deep in you is how in one vid you did say if nobody's paying attention to you, you don't exist - and that's extremely concerning and dangerous to me)

I think the biggest reason why Lily Singh's comment towards BTS and about their fanbase bothers me so much is that so many people already tear down and demean young female fans for any KPOP group, but especially the young female fans for BTS. It's like people don't believe they're allowed to be fans of something because it's cringey and bad and while there may be people that legitimately fetishize these young men, the vast majority of the fanbase are just younger girls that enjoy listening to them sing and watch them dance. It's the same story for anything and everything that young girls try to enjoy and have fun with so to have it called out and trivialized in front of the UN was just a very poor move even though I'm sure Miss Singh didn't mean to harm or demonize them in any way. It was all just in very poor taste.

Lilly reaction was just being a fangirl freaking out. It was literally a 1 second words. I just find this is ironic considering some ARMY make a big deal about this but think it's ok to 'worship' Jungkook abs, call Seokjin as Mom, went hard stan on BTS, etc etc. I don't think the latter is wrong bcoz every fan have their own way to love BTS. But if you want to condemn Lilly for her tiny mistake then go ahead condemn any other amusing anecdotes on BTS. Don't be a hypocrite. BTW, I also find it's disturbing that some ARMY tend to judge & put down other female harder than male. If this was a famous fanboy & he said something like 'crying fanboy', would you reacted the same way? Some ARMY would probably find it's amusing & maybe 'proud' that BTS have fanboys. & again, nothing wrong with fanboys. An ARMY is an ARMY.

Lily spoke a single truthWe were cryingWe were crying because the emotions they feel, the words they speak and the love they give are realI can't speak for everyoneBut personally, The reason I love these boys is because they're realI don't just love them for their music, for their looks or talentsI love them because they are humanThey are trueAnd they show us their emotionsThey aren't afraid to talk about the things that are importantTheir music isn't all about generic pop music topicsTheir music is about real world issuesReal problems everyone facesTheir music gives hopeIt sends emotionsAnd I'm so proud of them for making it where they are todayFor showing us that we deserve love and happinessNot just from everyone elseBut from ourselves as well
