My mom didnt have shit except a ton of meds because she was dying of cancer (owing 12 million in medical bills and we barely had money to keep the lights on. She was home all the time except for when she had to be taken to receive cancer treatment to prolong her life and she would stay there a few days. One of those days, some people kicked in her door and took her TV and meds and ransacked the place. She came home to that when she could barely get around and was in so much pain and suffering. they made it harder on people already struggling and then took our sense of safety in my mother and my home. what do you do when you're too poor to buy any security systems? Now that I'm older, I have a good job in enforcement and work at a federal level with state and local agencies, I'm wiser. The best sense of protection I have is my guns and insurnace.

with regards to the last story, as disgusting as him having parental rights to the child of which he raped his mother for, in the eyes of the law its about balancing the scales which is far deeper and far more nuanced than can be held at any given moment, therefore i believe that the courts ruling here was fundamental to uphold the basic morality we've all been given, for in a sense that child deep in the womb paid witness to the immorality of a father that never was, that when he was born of the mother he'd in a sense redeem her therefore that little bit of awareness that is held to the monster that he was created from would be the very weight by which that child would restore such faith in the collective mind, and by weight i refer to magnitude for indeed we all hold a magnitude each to our own and then to each other #butterflyeffect

Phil, while I agree the guy deserves a baseball bat to the face, these kinds of kneejerk reactions only hurt the populace as a whole. In her case, I asbolutely see why she wouldn't want him there, and why he shouldn't be there. But women already have the upper hand in child custody battles. Women are already given the emotional benefit of the doubt (event though they shouldn't) if they cry rape. Do we REALLY need to push for a law to prevent an edge case where simply showing He was found to be a danger to all children in a court of law would rule him out from occurring? DON'T JUMP ON THE EMOTIONAL BANDWAGON, PHIL. I know why you want to, but PLEASE THINK. Your BRAIN is your strongest weapon, NOT YOUR HEART

Would you please stop the midreel advertisement. It sucks and stopping the inertia of what is important to show a monetary ad for whatever is out there sucks. Is not appreciated and sucks if this is the way moving forward videos will be made. I understand the algorithm sometimes screws content creators, but as a fan a find it disrupts the news. Also the break from when you half finish the sentence is bad. Instead finish the sentence for the ad i. e. here's the ad and if not we were head by then you will see nothing then play the ad. Versus starting that sentence, not finishing and then returning and just saying one word. Then moving to a new topic.

Thank you for talking about the Rotherham story, is relatively local to me (30miles) and has been an utter disgrace and the councils and government need to be shamed over it the fact that legal officers in the council didn't know they could apply to not contact the rapist astounds me, but cynically (and working in another council) i suspect its not necessarily a lack of knowledge, but a case of them wanting to avoid the cost of such an application and any potential costs/compensation they'd have to pay to the rapist if they loose.

CM Punks response is how everyone should respond to logan paul. He was, and will always be that guy who decided to film a dead body for views and then go on to justify himself for doing it. He isnt special, hes just an internet asshole. We shouldt be going out of our way to hate on him, because its not worth it, but we should stop hyping up these fights and keeping him relevant. Why anyone cares about him is beyond me. He honestly shouldnt matter so much, especially considering everything him and his brother did in the past.

I dont understand how there isnt a law in place that just automatically removes your parental rights as a parent as soon as you are convicted of really extreme crimes as well as crimes directly involving and against children. Or at least they are suspended during jail time. You cant just be a paper pusher and just do things exactly by the book in cases like hers. You have to take into consideration the situation around it.

I love Payless shoes. I went there on a buy one get one half off sale, and then they were also giving away a free pair of knock-off Crocs with a purchase over a certain amount (I forget the amount. Got shoes for me and my husband, and I wore those knock-off Crocs for literally over 10 years. I finally wore holes through the bottom and had to move on, but they were the greatest shoes ever.

I think you guys are missing something. I don't think the, Mother, gets to be at the hearing. The hole point of the hearing is that the mother has given up her parental rights over the child. The hearing is for people and entities who have a leagal clame of responsibility for the child. Which the mother no longer does. So she won't have to face her rapist or any of that.
