Chrissy Teigen Filthy Mouth FREAKOUT, New Vape Pen Panic, Trump Taliban Negotiations Dead, & More Ryan Walk: Vaping helped a lot of people quit smoking, including myself, and I think it is naive to look at the huge drops in smoking in both adults and teens in recent years and think that none of it is due to vaping. I think it is ridiculous that kids smoked in school all through my childhood and there was never this kind of hysteria over that when that action would almost assuredly lead to death as well, just much much later. On this current hysteria, it is hard for me to believe that if you are a vaper who is using your regular products and liquid that is lab tested that strictly contains propolene glycol, vegetable glycerine, nicotine, and flavoring then you are 100% fine (I would avoid any kind of CBD or THC vape both licit and illicit until they figure this out) and doing something that, while not perfect, is 95% safer than combustible cigarettes according to the UK's Royal College of Physicians, I disagree with the part of the video that called this some magic concoction of chemicals and chemistry, we know what is in e liquid and we have been studying its effects on the body for 10 years now. I also believe that the media/government already has an embedded bias towards vaping with both receiving large amounts of money from either the pharmaceutical industry, or big tobacco (both of which have been fundamentally hurt from the rise of vaping) which just further allows them to jump the gun on things like this. The best current course of action is to stop trying to create a new black market and start trying to figure out definitively what is causing this illness, because it is almost assuredly not general nicotine vaping (if that was the culprit we wouldve seen it happen 10 years ago and vaping would have never been popular in the first place, e liquid manufacturers who have been in business for all these years didn't just suddenly conspire to change formulas wholesale. A ban will only create a huge black market and drive smoking rates in both adults and teens right back up to earlier levels. Yes lots of teenagers have been trying vaping, but also yes there are millions of people who used e-cigarettes to quit using cigarettes (a life-SAVING change. up to about 3 months ago according to the media) and millions more who are on the fence about it but currently jumping off that fence because of what the CDC just recommended (like really, think about it, we see a contaminated box of romaine lettuce get distributed in the midwest, would the CDC tell the entire nation to stop eating lettuce) plus the insane amount of irresponsible reporting going on otherwise which is sad, there is an external factor causing this and they all know it but they are scaring people away from quitting smoking because of this. If someone who is on the fence happens to read this (doubt anyone will) then don't listen to it, buy a device, buy e liquid from a reputable dealer, don't use any other funky CBD or THC cartridges/liquid either licit or illicit(i'd just stay away from any other kind of vape if you see it, vitamin vapes, energy vapes, etc, just stick to nicotine liquid, it is certainly not as good for your body as regular air but it is much better for your health than smoking.

I have smoked in the past and have been vaping since 2012. If Im being honest with myself, I havent quit because it turned into a hobby for me and my wife, though I do want to eventually get over my nicotine addiction all together. I, however, do not use vape products marketed by, or made by, Big Tobacco. Products like JUUL have been made by Big Tobacco. Im not making rash accusations, you can see it clearly on the packaging. The major players will always put their hands in every game; they only exist for money. They have zero legitimate concern for public health. My respiratory health has improved over my smoking state. No, it is not perfect. We, in regards to the group of intelligent and aware vapers, KNOW we are still poisoning our bodies with nicotine from these devices. We also stand firm behind the facts that vapor products have saved innumerable lives around the world. These deaths have majorly been linked to the use of black market cannabis vapor products. Products which I do not use. I have no health concerns in that sense other than I am still putting a vapor in my lungs that contains nicotine, and other chemicals that, so far, have not shown to be overly harmful to the human respiratory system. We also build our own delivery systems so as to avoid as much corporate tampering as possible. We acquire safe materials and put them in devices also made of safe materials, and use our devices wisely. This is incredibly saddening to hear as a stout vapor advocate for smokers. Our community DOES NOT condone minors using these products. They are here to help adults get off cigarettes. Ask anyone prominent in the industry who actually gives a damn (Nick Grimm Green, OhmboyOC, TVC, Mike Vapes, Rip Trippers, etc) we are not only well aware of the need for some regulatory oversight on the industry, what we dont want is life saving products to be removed from the market due to MSM labeling us all as killers targeting children, or that the general use of the products is as, if not more, dangerous than cigarettes. There is a reason this is happening now; illicit cannabis products. Vaping has been around for well over a decade; these are quite clearly from recent products being released. Thank you team for keeping your non-bias perspective in this and not sharing all the slander flying at our industry. It is much appreciatedKeep up the great work

First I'd like to say, Phil, Juuling isnt a thing. It's a word invented by an ignorant media. A Juul is a personal vape device just the same as all the rest, and the term vaping would still apply with a Juul. A Juul is just a product of a brand. Now, they aren't owned by big tobacco, or big pharma. Juuls, and Juul labs is a very well respected company amongst the vape industry. They were one of the first to double down on responsible marketing to squash any fears of Advertising to children BEFORE it even became a big thing in the media, mind you, and they are constantly innovating their products to be as safe as possible, and continue to try and appease those in the media and government who want to demonize them and vaping as a whole. Now, I'm sure you've seen these numbers thrown around, but they remain as relevant as ever. The Royal Collage of Physicians, and a fast growing number of other health and science organisations has deemed, and continue to deem vaping 95%+ safer than traditional cigarettes. Vaping has been around for over a decade, and nothing like this has ever happened. The problems occurring recently are 100% the cause of black market THC products. Thanks Phil.

A few things you did not mention in your vaping news story that are extremely important pieces of this puzzle are. 1. Many of the vape cartridges are being bought from places like China that use very cheap and dangerous heavy metals such as aluminum and lead and when heated those heavy metals are being inhaled into your lungs. 2. Even when cartridges are bought in legal dispensaries theres still no guarantee its safe because the testing of the raw materials is totally governed by the grower allowing the grower to put dirty product on the shelves. There is absolutely no testing done on any material once it gets into a Dispensary. 3. There are SO many harmful pesticides used on the cannabis and hemp crops that the public is buying from dispensaries. Inhaling a pesticide is 10 times more harmful to your health than eating a pesticide. This is one of the biggest issues with vaping no one is talking about. And when you vape the chemicals are highly concentrated making this much worse for your health and simply smoking. Please As a mother of a teenager that watches you religiously and loves to vape, I urge you to do another video including these very important issues.

Bit hypocritical no Phil? U think 9/11 only changed the lives of Americans? Boo hoo the big fat rich Americans had to experience REAL suffering once in their extremely luxarious life so let's just continuesly focus on that while completely ignoring that the lives lost and destroyed outside of America due to 9/11, the NATIONS that were destroyed and too this day live in a crippled state never managing to fully recover. Let's just completely ignore that fact that ur government used 9/11 as an excuse to spearhead wars with two countries completely steamrolling them and killing x100 more people in the process then died in 9/11 incident, Yep Sure bush was a war criminal in very regard of the word and he should've been rotting in prison instead of enjoying a nice retirement but u know, some Americans died so the world must burn in return regardless of the fact that they had nothing to with it or the fact that Taliban and Laden was a monster of ur own creation. Yes Phil keep sending them thots and prayers as usual coz these Americans are living in slightly less luxury then ur average American, so sad: '(

Hi Philip, I love your videos and the work you do but I disagree with your statement that smoking normal cigarettes is much worse than using a vaping pen. We both agree that they are bad. But using the argument that the death toll of normal cigarettes is much higher than vaping related ones, ergo normal cigarettes are worse, seems unsubstantiated. Smoking cigarettes is something humans have done over many many many years. Smoking-related health issues develop often over many years of smoking. on the other hand, vaping is a relative new thing we do to our bodies, and that we are now seeing very quickly very serious health issues with that, makes me believe that vaping could even be worse for our body than normal cigarettes. This is my personal impression, but to make a bulletproof conclusion research needs to be done. I find it funny that vaping products became legal in the first place without any FDA approval or search on the long term effects on products we put inside our bodies.

Honestly, I would say the possibility of the deaths and illnesses being tied to black market vape products seems much more likely than other things. Maybe if some vape juice recipes have been changed that could explain the sudden uptick in incidents. I personally don't like even the idea of juul specifically because of the sheer amount of nicotine in each pod which is very different from vape juices which all come in 0 nic or 5 nic and depending on the company, higher nic contents. It just doesn't make too much sense that it would be the longer standing vape companies at fault of these issues due to the suddenness of the situations unless an ingredient change did happen. I've seen far too many under the table black market purchases go south, particularly cannabis related. One bad cut and BOOM you have a seizure or other health episode. I also believe that if it were made illegal, it would only spur illegal black market sellers on to make more money and cause more issues due to negligence.

People wonder how to live a healthy life. Its literally just doing what youre supposed to do. Eat when youre hungry stop when youre not, drink clean water, breath air and if you can only breath air, move (at least be able to move your body weight in squat, 1 pull-up, 1 push-up, it shouldnt be hard to jog for 5 minutes, when you can sleep if youre sleepy, talk to people (optional. Fit bodys are healthy but anything less than that is still health. Fit is just really healthy which isnt necessary in most cases. Your body just needs to sustain itself and if youre doing things the contradict that like intoxication (hence TOXICation) aka any no essential to staying alive or being better at staying alive, youre basically living wrong because your doing the opposite of surviving. Dont do that. The opposite of surviving is bad for your health.

If you read the royal college of physicians report on vaping you would probably get a better understanding of the harm reduction of this particular method of nicotine delivery, for make no mistake there is a health risk to vaping, it is just less (by a long way) than smoking. Unfortunately I believe that the smoking lobby in the U. S is controlled by big tobacco companies who see their profits reduced by the prevalence of vaping. The items that are being reported as harmful are mostly illegal and certainly not vaping although the delivery system is similar. as a one time heavy smoker who could not give up the habit (tried several methods all useless) I turned to vaping. As for children getting these vapes I agree that there should be harsher penalties for retailers who break the laws.

I used to smoke 1. 5 packs of cigarettes a day (working in construction it was hard not to) I changed to vaping as I found it hard to quit cigs from different forms, gum, patches etc. Vaping for 6 months or so ( no fall backs) I haven't had a cigarette in that time. Lungs felt lighter and easier to breathe compared to cigs. Obviously taking any thing into your lungs besides oxygen is bad for you, but I find vaping is alot better. I plan on cutting down and out completely by the end of 2019. My family has been harassing me about these stories of deaths from vaping acting as if it was like when people first found out cigs kill people. Or acting like a new vegan talking about how GMOs are bad. Yet these family members smoke cigarettes. I dont use a Juul and rarely vape marijuana.
