Ten Minute History - Mussolini and Fascist Italy Short Documentary NoUploadsEver: For those of you who think it can not happen in the US. Well check the remove the fillabuster and federalize election stuff such as getting rid of voter ID the DNC is trying to force through. All they lacked was having the blackshirts on hand before their steal elections forever bill got passed. GOP spinelessly forfeiting so many seats to election fraud, probably because their leaders like Kempt and McConnel cheat using Dominion too, as pushed us to the edge of officially being a fascist nation.

Again: Sloppy, and even wrong in details.
A ridicolously trivial example. : (1943) Mussolini managed to escape. is wrong.
Mussolini was busted out of curfew by German commandos.
I. e. Mussolini wasn't active at all, explaining, why his puppet state was a _puppet_ state
(in contrast to Tito's Yugoslavia, which acted relatively independent from the Soviet Union even during Stalin's reign, eventhough Tito's wasn't democratic, too)

Hey world, can you see those? In the comment section?
Yes: fascists, fascists everywhere.
Please if anyone gets insulted by those failures, remember that they probably are 50 (or 10) years old men with a shitty job who see Mussolini as their personal hero/fairy and who like to spend their time insulting on internet. So, as an Italian, I will say that I'm ashamed of those poor beings and I apologie towards any normal people who got insulted

I have to say that its really sad that this video is way more factual and unbiased than most garbage that passes for documentaries these days, they are documentaries in name only when in reality they are propaganda.
I can form my own opinion and dont need to be lectured of what I should think.
So thank you History Matters for being neutral and just pointing out the facts.

My great great great aunt who died last year at the age of 100 grew up in Mussolinis Italy, only emigrating to America for better opportunities in 1928. She remembers loving Mussolini, she said she thought the uniforms were handsome on the men and the trains were always on time I mean she was 8

The fascists were the socialists. The socialists he's referring to in this video were the Marxists. Interesting how historians leave this fact out. Calling the fascists right wing because they were right of marx isn't the same thing as calling them objectively right wing.

You know what? Im DONE with socialism. We need something new. Not based on class divisions, but unity through nationality. Well conquer the Mediterranean, just like the dates of the Roman Empire. Ill call it _Facismo, _ and it will guide the Italians to greatness.
reply

I understand it's hard to compress years of history in 10 minutes, nevertheless this video is filled with too many mainstream-like misconceptions abiut Italy, such as the switching sides or the weak army.
Enough already with this crap. Don't you think?

Capital holders will chose fascism over socialism 100% of the time. Capital holders have always and will always betray the people and bring about barbarism, death and destruction in their quest to keep their hold of a nation's wealth no matter what.

Always funny how Italians supported the idea of the Aryan race and blonde blue eyed people being superior, since ummm Italians are Mediterranean and mostly dark hair dark eyes. Guess fear makes you think crazy things

Historia Civilius: Milo gathered armed groups and attacked senators, threatened to burn the senat building
History Matters: Mussolini threatened parliament by blackshirts standing in the building
Understandable

Bad infographic design, with inconsistent color use, rendering them meaningless. Also, Mussolini was tossed out of the Socialist Party for accepting money from French industrialists in 1914. Not the reason you state.
reply

He was shot the next day.
Well. after him and his mistress were brutally beaten and tortured by an angry Italian mob. Not sympathetiche kinda earned it, but I found it funny how it was glossed over.

reply

Can you westerners drop the german master race myth already?
It wasnt real, it was propaganda made by the west.
You people figured it out that Iraq was a lie. Why are you having such a hard time with ww2?

reply

Short version, rich people will always back facists because as much as they hand wring about how mean they are, they still get to keep their stuff. They backed those same facists after the war too.
reply

Heres another interesting fact: Mussolini was a communist and ran a communist publication just prior to him deciding he needed a more nationalistic version of Socialism which he labeled fascism.
reply

Fun fact: Italian uses the letters Gi instead of J. Julia = Giulia, for example. So, when you see a name like Giacomo or Giorgio, it's pronounced Jacomo or Jorjo, not gi-a-co-mo or gi-or-gi-o.
reply

History doesn't repeat but rhyme Mussolini not being at the March on Rome reminds me of Jan. 6th and Donald going back to the White House to watch whatever demonstration his crowd cooked up.
reply

Italy's time in WW2 was interesting, there was division within and it went into war too quickly. But of course, it meant certain things came about that sprung it's military power.

My grandpa knew a guy who was interrogated by their cops when he was a young man. Not sure why exactly. They force fed him laxatives and made him stand on his feet for 2 days.
