So it wasn't communism that killed all those people, it was a bloodthirsty tyrant named Stalin. I'm sure he had plenty of help. Sulla and Julius Caesar conducted their own forms of population control as well. Tamerlane, Genghis Khan, Attila, Brennus.

Minorities, yes. There were lots of idealistic communists from Finland who escaped to the Soviet Union after the right won the civil war here in 1918. And Stalin did end up purging most of them, too.
