How close was Germany to build the Nuclear Weapon in WW2? Im still wondering if they DID actually tested the first nuclear bomb
An account from a German test pilot and a missile expert, Hans Zinsser, stated that he observed a phenomenon forming a mushroom cloud in early October 1944 during a test flight near Ludwigslust
He claimed to have flew away 12-15 km away from the nuclear test site when the it happened, which he stated below:
-A cloud shaped like a mushroom with turbulent, billowing sections(at about 7000 metres) stood, without any seeming connections over the spot where the explosion took place. Strong electrical disturbances and the impossibility to continue radio communication as by lighting turned up. -
He estimated the cloud stretching for nine kilometres and described further -strange colourings- followed by a blast wave which translated into a -strong pull on the stick- - meaning his cockpit controls.
Surprisingly, Zinsser wasnt the only witness to come forward and claimed to have observed the phenomenon
Another pilot was an Italian correspondent by the name of Luigi Romersa, whom had previously been sent by the Italian dictator Mussolini to watch the test of the new weapons of the Germans
Romersa claimed to have also observed the same phenomenon an hour after Zinsser claimed to have observed it
What do you guys think? Do you think the government might be hiding something from the public regarding of this incident?\r\n

In 1934, Norsk Hydro built the first commercial heavy water plant at Vemork, Tinn, eventually producing 4 kilograms (8. 8 lb) per day. [69] From 1940 and throughout World War II, the plant was under German control and the Allies decided to destroy the plant and its heavy water to inhibit German development of nuclear weapons. In late 1942, a planned raid called Operation Freshman by British airborne troops failed, both gliders crashing. The raiders were killed in the crash or subsequently executed by the Germans. -
On the night of 27 February 1943 Operation Gunnerside succeeded. Norwegian commandos and local resistance managed to demolish small, but key parts of the electrolytic cells, dumping the accumulated heavy water down the factory drains. On 16 November 1943, the Allied air forces dropped more than 400 bombs on the site. The Allied air raid prompted the Nazi government to move all available heavy water to Germany for safekeeping. On 20 February 1944, a Norwegian partisan sank the ferry M/F Hydro carrying heavy water across Lake Tinn, at the cost of 14 Norwegian civilian lives, and most of the heavy water was presumably lost. A few of the barrels were only half full, hence buoyant, and may have been salvaged and transported to Germany.

There was zero possibility of either Japan nor Germany every developing
an atomic bomb during war time. It took uninterrupted supply lines and
100, 000 plus people to get 3 Atom bombs built in the US. Even if either
country had the physics package developed already there was no way to
manufacture enough weapons grade plutonium or uranium. You could have
given them a little boy casing and a shipload of uranium and there was
not enough manufacturing capability to enrich enough with in 5 years
time to achieve fission. It took over 2 years in a building a half mile
long to enrich enough for 1 bomb and that is with no one bombing the
area and with full power and resources. It took pulling silver from the
US mint, redirecting boilers from NAVY ships, more copper alone than
both Germany and Japan combined had available to just build one of the
Uranium enrichment plants. So there is not a single scenario in which
either country could have done it once the war was started.

looking at this podcast i would say WRONG. because the Manhattan project was made possible by bringing plutonium from Germany in 1944. That plutonium was produced years before by germans for nuclear electric power reactors intended to use on U-boots fleet-the scientist was OttoHahn. The entire USA could not produce so fast the needed qty of plutonium so they got it from Germany after -paperclip- deal. I dont want to offend anyone but truth is not at all respected in this podcast

When you have a leader like the Germans had that wanted to build 100 ton tank with two ship guns on Monday then go off and tell the Navy to build a super sub that can launch a V2 on Wednesday only to come back on Thursday asking why we don't have Nuke's by Friday was just all over the map. Also USA other side of the planet not being bombed and have better funding and science all focused on one goal make's it much easier and faster.

The Nazis did build an atomic bomb and the bomb exploded in 1944. The Nazis were finishing up on a second one when the war was about it end. There's a universe where the Nazis finished the Horten Ho 229 V7 stealth bomber and flew to New York City and dropped the bomb onto the city. The bomb went off and America went to war with the Nazis and lost.

Nice propaganda! Germany did set off a very small nuclear device right before the war ended and started back up in South America by Dr. Richter! All is proven by declassified articles in United States and British Government! Do some research!
reply

To break it down to just a short and easy sentence. Germany did not consider and even to an extent disgusted on making it because they said it was -Jewish Science- but they did made some preliminary research on it but nothing too major

NASA and the American space project was totally sourced from the German intelligentsia so the answer is yes the Apollo project did make it to the Moon and yes the Apollo project was totally sourced from the German intelligentsia

They actually detonated one over Rugen and it was even mentioned on the Luftwaffe website before they took it off again. Their bomb was meant to be a detonator for a hydrogen bomb, that's why they never used it as a weapon in the war.

In an alternative world where Roosevelt was assassinated a Heisenberg device was dropped in the District of Columbia and was turned into the district of containment and the Nazi states of Amerika was created.

So what did happen in 1944 near Ludwigslust? There are at least two reports describing a mushroom cloud in the sky - one from a German pilot, second from an Italian correspondent.

U. S Soldiers would throw their equipment and replace it with dead Germans equipment it was considered far better but it's actually not been proven to the case in weapons

What about the nuclear weapons program under the waffen ss and organisation of Hans Kammler and the three bomb test by thr Germans in 1944 project riese
reply

Answer in one sentence instead of 10 Minutes: The Germans were further away from having a nuclear bomb than the British were from having a good cuisine.

America that you are the monsters you dropped the atomic bomb on japan. America is worse than Nazi Germany you are cowards!
reply

Well they had it. The Americans found it and dropped it on Hiroshima and their remade bomb was dropped on Nagasaki
reply

Knowledge then was just as important as it is now which- is where I immediately skip past the sponsorship
reply

There-s actually evidence that can be seen today that there was a atomic test in Germany in 1944 or 1945
reply

Germany had at the end of the war a prototype and that one would have worked so germany had the first
