Can someone give me a few tips about motivation? Like. how to set a motive to be able to complete a task, because I've been having trouble with my grades and I don't set myself a motive because I don't care about anything (example. My mom says I'll get you something if you get good grades I just think no thing in this world lasts forever so there's no point in having more)
And well. I'm just looking for some advice to improve my grades, because it causes stress and I am currently going through a lot of things at once and it's been really hard for me. I have also been loosing interest in pretty much everything I do and sometimes an action, a sound, or even a drawing triggers these words in my head like, you're worthless, you can't do anything right, he doesn't like you, you can't trust them, you're ugly, you're not smart, and those words have really messed with my daily activities and it was also prevented me from setting motives. I have also recently been showing signs of anxiety, OCD, and depression and I have been diagnosed with attention deficit disorder(ADD)
Which has also interfered with my daily activities so what I would like to have is some motivation. anyone got any tips for me and for others too?

A lot of the comments here mention that they feel like they would be lying to themselves. I think it's most important to only tell yourself things that you can gradually change instead of fixed facts.
For example, if you always tell yourself that you're great at Math, even though you definitely aren't, you feel like you aren't honest to yourself and even if you start believing it after a while, the disappointment when you get a F on your next exam will be huge. However, if you would continuously tell yourself that you're a person who works on things they would like to improve in, you will probably start putting more effort in preparation for Math tests. Even if you totally fail the next one, you won't be that disappointed in yourself because you didn't convince yourself that you're good at it, just that you're working on improving it. And you will improve

Its nice and positive sure, but telling yourself yay im successful isn't going to make your small failing company grow into a trans national corporation. There are limits to the effect of interior positivity, and for some (including myself, telling ourselves we are worth something just ends up in more disappointment when life doesn't give what we would think to be a fair share. Might as well keep low self esteem, as long as its not an obstacle to achieving our goals.

I don't know if anyone's tried or heard of this but I do treasure maps so that everyday I'm looking at it I stay focus and I have received about 65% of a positive I recommend trying treasure maps too.
