Got disinterested as soon as it turned into a human caused climate change video. What about Iceland that was once warmer and more forested when the Vikings arrived. Who was consuming fossil fuels back then? The earth has cycles regardless. What about sun spots or a historic volcano spewing ash around the world that affects climate. Everyone wants to make it political with human cause.

Do we import rare earths from China because we don't have them?
No. There are plenty of rare earth elements in the US.
They are difficult and dirty to extract, so it's cheaper to let China do it than do it ourselves and mess up our country.
Rare earth elements aren't actually that rare, they're just -rarely- in places that are easy to mine.

All I wanted was a look at Greenland. Instead I got a treatise on how Democrat-run cities (in the US, and Ho Chi Minh City would be under water. Isn't man smart enough to plan and build at higher elevations? Oh, if your a fan of globalism you'll be happy to know that many millions of evil, carbon-based life forms will perish. -

Why does no one seem to know what the westerlies are? No shit the the city on the eastern coast being bombarded by continental air is colder in winter than the one that gets hit by ocean air. This is no better than when my dumbass highschool science teacher said Scandinavia would be as cold as Siberia if not for the Gulf Stream.

Its weird to hear the talk about oils and fuels and how beneficial its gonna be at the same time talking about how we are causing the melting of the ice sheet.
All i keeo hearing is how humans are gonna devistate the land and strip it dry and pillage it as soon as they can to continue makibg the mistakes we keep making

love how this video starts with -greenland will be severely affected by climate change- and ends with -but look how much opportunity there will be to further exploit the earth's reseources and excerbate the problems that got us here in the first place once it does-

Millions of years of volcanoes and natural vlimate change. and the people who cannot tell you what the weather will do next week want you to believe your comfortable lifestyle will be the cause of greenland to melt for the first time in a million years.

This is how the whole planet earth is collapsing environmentally because there is no law that preserve natural stabilities, but, an grievious exhaustion of every found deposit utilizable for technology, machineries, and other only to gain enormous benefits

I think the central valley could probably defend themselves by putting up a large dike at the mouth of the san Joaquin river. They already are using almost all the water in their watershed for agriculture, so pumping water out wouldn't be a problem.

12: 54 you will know this but sometimes the land mass bounces back so the lake might only stay a there a million years or so, but you get lots of earth quakes and lots of volcanos happening with this. We owe our existence to such a process I think?

There is literally no chance of any of your catastrophic melting/flooding actually happening, according to the IPCC's own scenarios. The SSP2-4. 5 (-no policy change-) scenario predicts only -0. 5m of sea level rise. You need to stop fearmongering.

5: 45 Hellman Glacier is a deluge as it describes in the JPL caption it-s the fasted glacial flow in the world. This contradicts the headline. Just another example of Lysenkoism as the headline was not written by real scientists

You forgot to mention that ice penetrating radar studies shows that 50 to 70% of the ice in Greenland has formed since the end of the Holocene Thermal Maximum, which at this latitude occurred around 8, 000 years ago.

So wait. We are effecting global warming and it is getting so warm that a plane crash landing 50 something years ago is covered in 260 feet of ice. Doesnt that mean it is colder if a shit ton of snow was on top of it

What would happen if someone blew off a nuclear bomb in Greenland? Would it cause a cataclysmic event? would it be like a fart in a freezer? Would it activate a change of events (environment wise?

If the crustal displacement people are correct and Greenland ends up at the equator, then it would still take centuries to melt all of that Ice.

Flooding would not be as bad as you state, because with the lessening of hydraulic pressure of the ice land masses will rise.
