I guess, before you even bring it near our solar system, the sun and other planets will start orbiting you, I don't know how much time it needs to stabilize the orbiting, but because the neutron star has much more gravity than the sun(star, 1 revolution should be different from our 1 revolution. since gravity and time are related in some sort of ways.

Neutron stars are another myth like dark matter! If a Neutron breaks down into electrons and protons in approximately. 07 seconds. A so called neutron star wouldn't last very long at all. Maybe a few seconds at best. Remember all the neutrons would be breaking down at the same time not one by one!

If a spoonful of neutronium appeared on planet Earth, then there would be an immediate catastrophic expansion of that matter because it would no longer be able to maintain its cohesiveness. This would most likely result in an explosion that would be catastrophic to the planet.

. so what would happen if you brought it to earth? Kinda seems logical you would answer the question that is the title to the video! No? Ok then i'll do it. The earth would get sucked into the -teaspoon scoop size- neutron star and we would all die. The end.

This is why I always physics and mathematics teachers are the worst thing to happen to education. Instead of answering the damned question, you are talking about other. All i wanted to know was what would happen in theory if a neutron star came close to earth

I'm glad you pointed out that a spoon sized amount of neutron star would explode. I didn't know how long it would take or the amount of energy. I'll take your word for it.

Neutron stars messes with my mind furiously while I'm trying to understand deeply their characteristics it's really challenging when i try to apprehend and comprehend.

matter of that spoonfull of neutron star will evaporate, as the gravity from that spoonfull of neutron star would not be enough to keep the matter in that state

A pen-sized amount of a Neutron Star would go straight through the Earth if you dropped it, creating an explosion that of an atomic bomb on impact at bare minimum

It's hard to believe that over 99% of matter is empty space, but neutron stars prove that true. A spoonful of neutron star weighs as much as Mount Everest.

I thought you were going to discuss the gravitational effects of having a spoonful appear on earth. YOU NEVER MADE IT TO EARTH WITH THAT SPOONFUL?

Well this video video just destroyed my plans to create a new cake mix with a secret ingredient, a spoonful of neutron star powder.

The prompt criticality of a spoonful of neutrons would have the radioactivity of billions of trillions of megatons of nuclear weapons

Matter here on earth is about 99. 9999999999996% nothing! Amazing. what we think of as solids, say steel or lead is almost entirely nothing!

If you are interested in the neutron stars and how life could appear and adapt on them, the I highly recommend the book -Dragon's Egg-

-Leave neutron stars where they belong. -
Great advice. Thanks. You can't go far wrong in life if you stick to that maxim.

Neutron stars natures trash compactor. It's all a bit cliche. Glad we haven't quite got to that point yet in our evolution.

IMHO, in the absence of the gravitation that compressed the mass to such great density, the spoonful of star would explode.
