What if Ataturk Never Existed? whatifalthist: Honestly I think that your predictions were pretty good until it came to ww2. Ignoring your prediction that it would happen like it did I our timeliness just without Italy. I think that even if the Germans formed a formal alliance with the turks the soviets would have at the very least would have strengthend there defenses with turkey since the soviets always distrusted the turks intentions. This distrust would be larger since the soviet union would have annexed parts of turkey and would be pretty scared of retaliation. Even if this didn't happen. The Germans would still have to get past the rugged terrain in the caucuses, extended their supply lines, divert troops to garrison Anatolia Greece, yugoslavia, run a war in the Middle East to completely push out the Britain and free French presence without the aid of the Italians. They would then have further extend out their supply lines to garrison troops in the middle east. Then the brittish and Americans would have to ignore the Germans fragile postion in the middle east and not attack. Even though attacking would enable them to cut the Germans off in the caucuses and retake the suez. Also why would the Americans not just nuke the nazis. Seriously just nuke them or threaten to unless they concede everything.

Every action as an equal reaction. At the expense of betrayals and ignorant fools who sought to side with the western powers to demolish the ottoman empire. Such an Irony in the aftermaths. As an ottoman solider he did the necessary work, however he also did do horrific things in order to demolish the empire and also make reforms for turkey to become secular. He prostrated to the western forces.
Some like him and some hate him, point is he's merit is closed but the ashes of action remain in history. We ought to learn from history so that such actions don't lead to catastrophic events in which we weep and weep. Albeit, it seems like some of us never learn and thus repetition of history becomes enviable.

I think that this timeline (no Ataturk) would diverge less than you imagine. Armenia might gain some territory, Greece might be able to keep Smyrna, and the non-Iranian parts of Kurdistan might be independent; but Italy would still join the Axis and Turkey would join the Axis after WWII starts. I wouldn't like to predict much further than that but probably if the Axis starts losing the war then Finland and Italy (just as in our timeline) and Turkey would change sides.

greece would fall that statement is too bold. firstly if we had so much larger territory and did not lose the war against turks we would have a much more powerful military and economy meaning greece would probably either withstand the axis or just slow them down and waste so many materials that it would have an effect later. After that italy would also go against the axis most likely concluding in an axis defeat but still good video!

He is not what you show, he come to power lie, game and he make to Nation culturally sick, he is the biggest Trickery everrrrr in history everrr unfortunately. He is a small personality in magnifying mirror, this why in turkey you cant talk about Against him even with historical evidence its illegal by Jail sentences ( 1 to 5 year) if you want to Destroy one nation get some Puppet from them he is the pest example

I think the whole part about germant winning the war won't happen. As he said during the video, italy would take a sizable chunk of turkey which ment that Italies would be so angry about not getting any lands from ww1, meaning italy would join the allies and help stop the german take over of the mediterranean because they wont want a nazi take over and so you can see what happens from there.

my guy here claiming there would have been a world war two with roughly the same players with mussolini and consequently nation-wide fascist movements being either absent or massively reduced
and also that fully operational carrier in the Mediterranean Italy would be completely and utterly useless in a war they underperformed in irl because of terrible leadership and lack of trading partners

Going with Italy being neutral doesn't make sense. Their position alone would force them to take a side and without Fascism taking over very likely the allies. Let alone I don't think it follows that increased allied presence in Turkey makes it easier for Germany to win there.

I don't think that Turkey would help the Axis, they didn't when they won the war, cuz they were recovering from a win, I can't imagine how much more they would recover from a loss. Also even if they were on the axis' side, that wouldn't be a factor for the Axis winning the war.

I don't know what would have happened (with Kemal, if we had won only the Greek communities of Eastern Thrace, Constadinople, Smyrna and today's coasts of eastern and southern Turkey (Gulf of Antalya. A state in a state, like West Berlin in East Germany.
