I'm kind of sad the Rat King from TLOU2 didn't at least make #20 or 19.
I mean. anyone who remembers playing that for the FIRST time as you're exploring that dark ass hospital knows what I mean.
And it DOES count as a transforming boss. It technically has 3 stages, with the final stage being when the stalker peels off of it and you still have to find your way out and get past it.
For some, it may not have been a hard boss, not damn Elden Ring level hard or anything, but it was still scary and still counts.

I'm glad Remnant 2's final boss made the list. It's literally the first boss I thought of.
The trick to surviving isn't luck or even your build, though of course that helps. It's SOUND CUES! the sound in Remnant 2 can be very informative. I've beaten the game twice on the hardest difficulty and that's what helped me most. That and getting gud

I'd say dmc5 vergil dlc, which makes dantes 2nd phase literally a different level bc move sets, stun behavior, and attack response is completely different. Lvl 19 is just normal dante and has short boost with devil trigger but lvl 20 is all that but attacks hit harder and faster with an extra sin devil trigger.

I thought for sure the first boss in Wo Long was one you're supposed to lose, it kind of baffled me when it wasn't. And then in the second phase I thought this time you're supposed to lose for sure.
It was actually a super fun boss to learn and very satisfying once you get through.

RE2 Blob boss. Not hard at all. But going from a monster to a train eating blob was something else. I think they had to keep up the weird exagerated transformations from then on, even when it didn't make any sense. Like, why would Wesker want his final form to be RE5 final boss.

Biggest gripe is with the remnant 2 boss. You 100% were making it harder on yourself. That boss is incredibly easy. Every time you need to dodge you get a distinct sound. You don’t even have to watch for anything. Just wait for the sound and roll

I have never been a dark souls type of guy, because I suck at this genre. One day I was scrolling through game pass and found wo long hahaha after losing to this first boss 18 times, I deleted the game and never tried a dark souls game again

I think I might have PTSD from Yunalesca fight, because when I read the tittle of the video it was the only boss I could think about. It made me quit FFX for about one year before trying it again. I still don't know how I beated her the first time

The Annihilation fight was insane. Learning the moves and then the second stage flips that on you with the world swapping. It was an exhilarating fight that I wish I could experience for the first time again.

#19 he is weak from his right side. For some reason he doesn't have that many moves if you stay on his right side. You also interrupt his fire chain attacks if you disrupt when he is charging it

Suprised that Cave Story's final secret boss isnt on this list. Megaman Juno and Mother unit Sera from MMl and MML2 are also good ones. Sera is especially difficult in her second phase.
