The idea that the lack of legecy characters in new Star Wars projects, especially games, is a positive is bizarre. Imagine a game that looks like Outlaws that takes place during the Clone Wars that had you plying as Anakin and Obi Wan or a game that takes place between New Hope and Empire where you play as Luke and Han. That sounds amazing. The inclusion of said characters isn't what made Episode 8, 9 bad. It's the way they were used. Star Wars media w/o the characters and iconography (xwings, lightsabers, ect) is just science fiction. Space devoid of the identifiable Star Wars stuff is just Starfield or The Expanse.

Madden has claimed physics based tons of times since NFL 2K5 ACTUALLY did it. It's still based on the frostbite shooter engine from the 360/PS3 days, its still animation based, etc. It'll be another letdown, but the difference is that ppl have the choice to play the college game this year. Hopefully, Madden Willi perform poorly enough that the NFL will allow multiple NFL games and we'll end up with choices and competition, which drives innovation. We'll see.
Also concord will fold between year 1 & 2 and it plus star wars will have terrible user reviews

I don't think Ubisoft's reputation for bad open world games is unfair at all. Their best games are what set the standard for all other open world games, while everything else they've made has failed to meet it. Meanwhile you have Nintendo and From Software absolutely demolishing them at the formula because Ubisoft refused to innovate on what they saw as a winning idea until it was so stale nobody wanted to play it anymore.

Ubisoft absolutely deserves their dogshit reputation for farting out boring, soulless open world games, and no they haven't done anywhere near enough to change that perspective. Just look at the last few turds; Mirage, Skull & Bones, Avatar etc. Sure there's been a few outliers (POP The Lost Crown was an excellent metroidvania) but when it comes to tentpole releases like this I don't have any faith in them at all.

I dont like souls like bc it just rarely feel accurate, im not huge fan of the souls games, ive never had time on games to get good and i rarely finish any of them before getting burnt out, i also burn out bc not having npcs and a living world is boring and ive played many souls like games and loved them, they got the label bc they had a loosely similar combat system and thats it.

I played Stormgate when they had the playtest a while ago and it was not very good and felt really soulless. It felt like a take that, Blizzard! Kinda game where they just wanted to clone the rts' they've made. I was extremely interested as I played Starcraft since the first one came out and warcraft 3 a ton. It's possible they've turned it around, but it really didn't hook me.

Concord number 3 and outlaws number 1! ,unique look, collor palettes! You really think that language mask your intentions Obviously this is not neutral chanel, someone is taking that sweet dei infestation money hmm Hope it is worth it, as for me. well, one chanel less to track.

Visions of Mana deserved a much higher spot than 7. GameRanx seriously has a clearly strong bias against JRPGs I’ve noticed this in almost every monthly top 10 this year (when I first noticed) that JRPG after JRPG get either not mentioned at all, or seriously hamstrung in rankings.

Although I like games and anime, I just can't bring myself to like anime games. or any Japanese games in general. What makes anime great is what makes their games barely playable and it's their inability to sort good ideas from questionable ones, destroying the core gameplay for me

Seiken Densitu 3 was AMAZING! Just like SOM but with more characters and thought out backgrounds. basically the best SOM sequel to date.
Edit: Ubisoft Unfairly okay dude. and then Madden having physics Shouldn't that have been a thing. idk. a few entries ago pfft.

Shouldn't Concord and Star Wars Outlaws be on a Flop list instead And i also heard Outlaws will get delayed, because the graphics are so damn bad I mean in an ubisoft investor call, they didn't wanted to answer the question, how good the preorders are doing.

Visions of mana is easily the best on the list.
Not sure how concord made the list. The open beta bombed harder than most indie games with no advertising. Which says a lot when they did advertise and had the money backing it from Sony.

Bruh anything you've seen released for the starwars game dosn't look anything close to being a ''top'' game, nor does the generic Concord game. Madden25, yeah, no. And Dustborn seems like another SBI pukefest.

I agree with the Black Myth Wukong devs, stop calling everything with 3rd person melee combat a souls like, it's not what makes a souls like a souls like, and there were hundreds that came before Dark Souls.

I've been let down so much by all Star Wars content lately that I can't build up hype anymore. I also dont trust that Ubisoft is capable of making a game without their recycled generic mechanics on it

Another month of no new game worth playing eh. Black myth has potential but I'm very skeptical of the combat and whole game design. Seems to be more focused on spectacle which i really dislike in games.

Concord needing psn isn't directly the worst thing about the game. Being blocked in 200 regions where you can't make a psn is the biggest problem. Also it looks trash for a $40 live service game.

Hey Falcon, I played 60 hours of the last open beta for Level 0 Extraction - IT IS SO DANG FUN. It definitely lives up to Tarkov Alien Isolation crossover. Highly recommend everyone tries it out.
