I feel like Quantic Dream and Japanese developers (DQ12) are often rather quiet. so might just be quietly chugging along.
Also, OD was revealed in 2023 It's 2025. I feel like it makes sense we haven't heard much more yet. Far too many companies reveal things way too early. Honestly, I feel like everyone should take a page from Bethesda (not all the pages, just this 1 in particular lol) and be like, Hey, our Fallout 4 comes out in 4 months, and here's Fallout Shelter in the meantime! Like basically, don't announce the game until it's done, available for pre-order, and possibly even sent to go gold at Xbox and PlayStation, and release in like 2 weeks. 2 weeks might not be enough time to build hype from non-AAA devs and such, which is why I initially said more like 4 months. but you get my point. Announce WAY closer to release.
Splinter Cell is likely going through development hell or something, but they'll DEFINITELY make another at some point. They've gotta lol.
I really thought that Project Awakening thing was a Scalebound thumbnail, which definitely got canceled, sadly. I'm way more into Scalebound than that Cygames project. What could be cooler than having a DRAGON PARTNER in like an action game from a team excellent at those

I love the clone wars stuff but other than that I don't think star wars has gotten better or worse. Don't get the recent hate for stuff they have made, I did not really hate the acolyte(guess id rate it like 7. 5 outta 10. To me star wars has always just kind of been a standard mostly entertaining bit of media or ip, new or old stuff. Ill watch anything star wars and generally be entertained.
Guess what im saying is, its kind of always been a little generic, but I still like it for the most part. Something to watch that usually entertaining. Not a hardcore fanboy or anything. People need to be less serious and learn how to be filthy casuals for media and video games lmao

For Codename Hexe, the silence for that game is understandable. There's just multiple other AC games/projects releasing before it so there's no need to reveal or show anything with Hexe yet. There's still the Shadows DLC, Mirage DLC, AC Invictus, AC Jade and the Black Flag Remake all before Hexe. Although, what's interesting is when Hexe releases, it will be the longest development cycle for an AC game, and it's linear so that's interesting.

I literally thought Project Awakening was the Mandela Effect in action. I remember seeing the trailer years ago and was extremely hyped for it because I thought it would release a year after the trailer was showcased. After not hearing anything about it and forgetting what the game was even called, I thought I had dreamed the game up or got it confused with Crimson Desert.

Can we just. you know. stop announcing games until they're ready to come out 12 months prior, max. I'm so sick of game announcements and they're expected release date is already 4 or 5 years off, but you know that there will be another 2 or 3 on top of that because there are always delays.
If it's not feature complete already, don't announce it.

Beyond Good & Evil 2 is the game I want to play more than any other on this list! I'm 62, hoping it comes out before I'm 90 (so I can still use a keyboard or controller! Would love to play Star Wars Eclipse and System Shock 3. I think that Dragon Quest 12 is probably the game that WILL come out! Have a wonderful day! : )

Speaking of writing on the wall, lots of these titles are Ubisoft. Ubi has sunk millions into massive failures in the past couple of years. avatar was filth, black flag ripoff was garbage, assassin's creed is long since dead. Ubisoft lost its soul, they are not capable of art or beauty. Rip to the good era of ubi. Rip ezio

Am I the only one who remembers Ubisoft talking about Hexe just recently after the release of Shadows. Yea we don't have anymore info yet on it but thats not uncommon until about a year from release. We had a tease for Vahalla from a different ubisoft in game poster for like 3 years before we saw footage of it.

I watched all of the 2000's TMNT cartoons as a kid and reading the Last Ronin as an Adult gave a really good, matured ending to those characters stories, whilst also spawning on a new generation of TMNT. Truly couldn't ask for a better conclusion/start of a new beginning for the Turtles.

from a studio that's never made an action game before
This studio literally started with an action-adventure game -- the undeservedly forgotten Omikron, the first open-world \ city game in history (yes, even before Shenmue and GTA3 ) ) with a ton of action.
Damn, I'm old.

The Splinter Cell remake should just get canned. Ubisoft isn’t up to the task. If this ever sees the light of day, it should be a really polished remaster, not a remake. Just update the graphics and gameplay mechanics, and keep the dialogue and everything else the same.

I couldn't tell you the name - but many years ago you showcased an upcoming game with a giant creature in the background that was always watching you or something. It looked super-cool and obv. made an impression. and then I never heard about again it.

People need to stop bashing the Acolyte. There’s a lot of deep lore threads left exposed which may rejuvenate the Disney’s interest in future seasons and the main gripe against the series seems more like racial bias against the lead.

What about Light No Fires. they were pumping that game up like it was dropping in 6 months and then they've gone radio silent for like a year. How many more NMS updates per month do we need. we get it, you can rest now.

I have had it with AC and the old hat, Jeez. Ubisoft make an AC with Shaka Zulu as the lead. Could be his rise to power all the way up to fighting the boers, red coats and other indigenous tribes. Instant smassssh.

If the Splinter Cell Remake is being made for a MoDeRn AuDiEnCe then it's already doomed for failure. I'll be happy to be proven wrong, but any game made for the modern audience has been worse than dog-shit.

American McGee's Alice & Madness Returns. If you want to go even further; Red Alert/Command & Conquer, Unreal Tournament. Not complaining though, especially considering the impeccable state of the industry.

for every cancelled or vanished AAA game, there are indie or AA games that are equally promising and actually coming out for you to play, sometimes these indie titles turn out to be much better
