ha, I recognise that dual light workstand as I have exactly the same one! (two of them in fact)
But I find the light is a little harsh, so I put oven cooking paper (as that won't catch on fire) over in front of the light which improved the look IMMENSELY! However. it also means the light heats up way too much and I've blown out several bulbs that way: -/
I wonder if they're doing anything to modify the light? It doesn't look like it?

Wait, Russ, I thought some of that noise looked more like artifacts introduced during export. Is it really sensor noise? You used the T3i for this short, right? I didn't know it would look so noisy. Anyway, you're right, Neat Video is really something, especially if you have the full version with the unlimited resolutions capability: D

Is there already an Indymogul community where each of us can contribute to each others' projects? That would be an excellent idea if not already done. I could certainly use help in the future with VFX (as I can NOT do even a halfway decent job with that.

Excuse me but what ever happened to bfx and DIY. That was like my main reason for watching Indy mogul to use props in my movie but I haven't seen anymore lately. Why have they stopped? Can you please try and bring it back, I would really appreciate it. Thank you

I don't wanna be a dick, but the effects you're dealing with are Visual Effects. Special effects are things done on set, whereas visual effects are things done in the computer.
