played this game as a kid around '97 or '98. got the game from a bootleg CD after my brothers went to Hongkong and brought back with them NES/GENESIS/SNES emulators as well as Sango FIghters 1&2, X-MEN CotA, and tons of other bootleg PC games, and this was before the time internet boomed in our country.
I've been searching for the title of this game since I wasn't allowed to play much when I was a kid and never got past the 3rd stage. I always found the red mech easier to deal with the 1st stage but gets creamed easily on the 2nd stage. But the blue mech has a hard time on the 1st stage but easily takes care of the 2nd stage and I always die on the 3rd. Glad I finally found the title again so I can check it out.

Next to Quake, this is my all time favorite Dos/486 game ever! I was never able to beat it with the red robot, but beat it with the slick blue ninja bot the same week I got it. This game is so awesome with it, Quake, Strife, Sam and Max HTR, and Alien Rampage rounding out my top 5 DOS/486-era favorites. I found this game jewel case, CD, and install guide/cover art only at a close out store for $6 or so back in 1997 I would guess, and it was the only physical copy I have ever seen in my life. Awesome video!

I've never heard about this title - I'm really glad that you've reviewed it, because it looks really interesting! I really would like to have it on GOG, but probably I'll need to hunt it down on ebay one day: P Anyway, I think that reviewing more Korean PC games would be a splendid idea! +Lazy Game Reviews - have you considered reviewing Zyclunt/Blade Warrior (really nice platformer/-slasher-) or first Kingdom Under Fire (interesting mix of RTS and cRPG? These two are really worth to try!

Korean games are an interesting lot, anything before online gaming got big is likely to provide some entertainment for me a least. White Day, a rare case of a horror game from that region is one of most effective in getting into my skin, and I'm a player that has difficulty getting immersed.
They got really into sport-gaming when online gaming became a thing so modern Korean games from what I've seen are mostly MMOs and other competitive heavy games, which I'm not particularly fond of.

If you're interested in more South Korean goodness, you should try and get your hands on a nifty little gem called Zyclunt (aka Blade Warrior) made by Phantagram in 1991. You liked Iron Blood? Well, Zyclunt plays almost the same AND also has mechas. You, however, play as a cyber samurai of sorts (I guess) with a LASER BLADE. The demo was very popular from what I remember. Good luck finding a big box release, tho'. Never seen one, and google images brings no results whatsoever.

Hey LGR, I went thrifting recently (i've found a lot of gaming consoles in my local stores and i love seeing what else is there, and i was really surprised to find -The 11th Hour- complete in big box form with all of its extras inside. Heck, it even had the strategy guide and a leaflet for other things you could buy from the creators. all for $5! I was shocked because usually you NEVER find stuff like that in our good will or (in this case) salvation army stores.

I would definitely like to see you review Rebel Runner. I have had the game for over 15 years but only learned this summer that the reasons you cannot pass level 11 is not because of some obscure secret but because a piece of level geometry is simply too high to jump up too. Because of that I am hoping that enough attention is drawn to it and someone with the knack will figure out how to fix it but the game needs exposure first.

That game looks freaking awesome and I'm surprised I never ran into it on one of the many (likely now defunct) -Abandonware- websites from the late 90s/early 2000s, it really has a Mega Man X and Strider look to it and would have been welcome addition to the SNES and Genesis (or even the Saturn and PSX) if it had received a port. Great review as always, I'm definitely going to have to check this one out.

I love the style of the game but the gameplay is horrible in it! I wish I know some more game with the style like that. It's lovely.
P. S.
I could not beat the game. I reached the last stage after many tries but the game annoyed me too much so I used save states just to see. It was Interrupt version BTW and it has intro and ending scenes. Seems like Iron Blood doesn't have those.

Oh god! I remember those blue enemies. This is the game that I played when I was just a little kid! All these years I have been thinking what it was and finally this comes up. I had some kind of demo cd thing which included over 100 games and this was one of them that I remember playing. I never got trough the first level though. Good times.
