I remember most of these being born in the mid 80's but there were some that should've made the list like the McDonald's Star Wish Christmas commercial from 1987, the Hardee's Pound Puppies Christmas commercial. There was also a late 80's Christmas commercial where gifts were slowly being opened and an orange tabby kitten popped its head out of a gift bag and started walking slowly near the gifts that I remember. There was also a KFC Christmas commercial with Ebenezer Scrooge advertising a holiday meal deal and he said at the end, I knew there had to be a catch. There was also another M&Ms Christmas commercial from the 80's where they advertised their Melts in your mouth, not in your hand slogan where everyone was gathering around in the living room and they showed a horse drawn sleigh at the end.

they remade the Folgers one, but with a brother and sister. I didn't know it was a remake until now. I love her comment at the end you're my present this year. makes me AWWW.
where I live, the Pennyslvania lottery does an iconic commerical every year where they count down from 7 days of Christmas. They did it way back in the 80's and used to show it every year. Then maybe 10 years ago, they completely remade it- same concept, and they even cast people that looked like the same actors. I still prefer the 80's version: P it doesn't change what the 7 days of Christmas are every year

#9: Let's not forget that the Flintstones were based on the Honeymooners, so if anything they might have kept them in character since they were based on Ralph(Fred) and Ed/Norton(Barney.
#4: No, the kid isn't buried in snow, nor is it shot in Canada. I think it's their own rendition of Pinocchio for the holidays. If you were to pay attention to the message around the middle it makes sense. Snow is fun to play in but, when the cold starts getting to you it's time to call it quits, and nothing beats coming home to a nice hot meal in the form of fresh hot soup.

I like the polar bear coke commercials. The M&Ms commercials are also cute. From my childhood, I like the McDonalds commercial where it was the whole gang outside. Ronald, The Hamburgular, the purple creature, the girl that looked like a duck, etc. I also liked the Arbys commercial where carolers are singing 12 Days Of Christmas and they say five roast beef sandwiches.

There was another Apple ad I remember, I think it was for one of the new iPhones. Frankenstein's monster comes into town and everyone of course is afraid, then he attaches Christmas lights to his neck bolts and starts singing There's No Place Like Home for the Holidays and a the townsfolk soon join. Always thought that one was sweet.

Hershey Kisses is my favorite. But you guys forgot a really great one. GARMIN. The GPS kings of their day, before we had Maps. Anytime I hear that Christmas song, I sing it like the commercial. It really did what it was supposed to do; force the consumer to associate that song with the word Garmin. Look it up if you have never seen it.

I've been trying to find a commercial that I saw in Britain in the mid 1990s I believe from Nescafe. It show a lonely your woman sitting on a winter park bench by the Thames in Lindon near a coffee Kiosk. The man seeing the very dejected young woman comes over to give her a cup of Nescafe coffee.

About #3?
That Hershey's Christmas ad used to be worth seeing until last year when they showed a girl taking one Kiss away and the scene switched to the kitchen.
Now we're stuck with a ruined version of what was once a treasured commercial made by Hershey's!

I hope the advertising department got HUGE bonuses for these iconic Christmas commercials that have stood the test of time. I would love to know who and how the ideas came to be for each one and how they feel today about them after so many years.

My two favorite Christmas commercials are the one with the M&M's and Santa clause and the other one is, the one where you see little hershey's kisses swinging back and forth and performing we wish you a merry Christmas.

My favorite is a few years old. It's the one where the cat who stays in the store with it's master brings home a lottery scratch off to put in his stocking. Impossible, yes; but it shows the importance of caring.

I hate Claritin and wish LOTS of people would boycott them for taking a Christmas song away from my grandchildren that should be related ONLY to CHRISTMAS.
THEYRE ARE A GRINCH
Company.

The Campbell's Soup snowman I don't think started out as specifically Christmas. I remember seeing it in January and February when I was a kid but now is usually only seen around Christmas.

This is just my thoughts and I mean no disrespect but I think the Christmas commercials would have been more impactful if there was no play by play description of what's gonna happen.

Look up the toys for tots commercial when the boy asks the marine if he's santa and tell me that's not #1. The fact that any toys for tots commercials aren't on the list is a disgrace

I loved the Coca-cola Bears!
In Guatemala, it's not Christmas until you hear the B&B jingle. It's been a holiday staple for 50 years
