I still love a lot of these movies even though thinking about them now is a little weird. Shape of Water, Big, and Harold and Maude are still some of my favorites. The only one that I still don't believe even though I enjoyed the movie was Claire and Bender. It was like a switch. I didn't feel the build up of chemistry over the movie. Maybe she was just going through her bad boy phase but it would have been nice to see little moments so that it wasn't so out of the blue. I liked Allison and Andrew a lot more together.

I feel like Im the only person who gets how Bender and Claire end up together. They see through the facade of each other. They peel each others layers off. Its not necessarily pretty or comfortable the whole time. And they each have their own defenses on the surface. Its too much to explain here. And it cant be looked at through todays lenses. But that was my era and I got it.
Oh, and I like Harold and Maude. Its funny and quirky and I feel like I get them too.

For surprising matters even Fix-it- Felix. Jr and Sergeant Calhoun from the Wreck-it-Ralph movies are a great and surprising couple next to Roger Rabbit and Jessica Rabbit that should've been on the list or an honorable mention either way. A short good-looking man and a tall beautiful woman that make a great match and couple. Fix-it-Felix. Jr and Sergeant Calhoun one of my favorite movie couples ever.

I always wondered why we were expected to root for Bender and Claire. He's constantly horrible to her, makes her cry in front of everyone, and doesn't apologise for any of his nasty behaviour. Even Molly Ringwald reported feeling uncomfortable watching their unlikely romance bloom with her young daughter, while still standing by Hughes' work.

Batman and Catwoman, you do realise that Bruce's greatest love in the comics in Selina Kyle right, so how is it surprising in Batman Returns. One that should of been here was Peter Venkman and Dana Barrett in Ghostbusters, as no one would put them together, but they truly are special together.

If your going to include characters in animations but live in the real world there's one more gadget and zipper from chip and dale rescue rangers 2022 movie in the original show there were just friends and chip and dale were in love with gadget but in the movie they were just friends

Howard the Duck could kind of work in this. Titanics Jack and Rose would work as one was rich and one was poor and they didn't end up together. Twilight as one was a vampire and one human. Beauty and the Beast could maybe work in this.

I still adore Big, but knowing that Josh is literally a child dating an adult woman dampens the appeal of their relationship quite a bit. If the genders were reversed, then there would likely be a lot more controversy.
