I find it particularly infuriating when people neglect or abuse work animals. Just because it’s not a pet doesn’t mean you can just abuse the hell out of it like an old Jeep or something. If an animal is doing a job for you, show some respect and appreciation or you just might be that abused work animal in your next life. The energy and actions you put out have a way of coming back to you.

The first draft horse limping stiffly with pancake hooves is NOT walking like that bc of his hooves. He likely has laminitis, and trimming isnt going to heal that to a great degree. The shot of him trotting is likely with him having a great deal of painkillers in him. unlikely youre going to relieve any significant pain unfortunately; sadly best to put him to sleep when they get this bad.

Can you imagine that in this world we have a thing called kill pen. we can do so much better than this. I will donate. I would sleep in the barn if I could. I have always loved the life God put on the earth, but I am learning so much about it because of stories like this, and u tube in general. Thank you all for teaching us/me by telling these stories. Be kind.

Such lovely souls, they deserve to be loved & cared for. Why anyone would do this to these horses is beyond me, just to see how appreciative they are melts my heart. Animals have feelings to, they care & look after their young, i think animals are probably more empathic than some humans are, much love to them & to all who rescue & care for them.

This video made me happy! The work these people do is an example to many! Working animals should never be discarded like rubbish either because they’re old or unhealthy or don’t fit their initial purpose.

is of the same mind set. I'm now a great grandma BUT would if i could daughter does
on a limited basis = none of us have the funds to do it / altho we kinda have space. .. .

Why are these animals in a kill pen! Oh my how we suck as a species. We have incredible potential and we just destroy everything. We should always treat everything and everyone with care. This rescue group is wonderful, but I wish it wasn't necessary

I have such regret not going back to college about 20 yrs ago, to switch to the field of farm animals to marine biology. I prefer animals over people. I'm so grateful to live near horses, goats, etc.

Why not shut down the kill pens and offer the horses for free Maybe more ppl will help. Makes no sense you have a horse in a kill pen and still want to sell it.
