Kittens need kitten food not full grown cat food because kittens have different nutritional needs. When you can get kitten food. At about six months to a year you can feed them adult cat food. Doesn’t matter if the kitten likes it. Your kitten doesn’t know about his different nutritional needs. If you have a Vet for your dog I’m sure your Vet also does cats so when you’re able you can get a Vet check. Go find a regular book about cat care which helps. I’ve had cats since 1980. Have my first pair.

That kitten looks exactly like my kitten Blondie. They could be twins. My kitten took to me very quickly. She and 4 of her sister were feral kittens born in my backyard. My husband and i captured them all, and they were all so cute we decided to keep them all. We actually found 7, but we found two loving homes for them.

Takes time for a dog to get used to a cat. specially an 11 yr old dog. the kitty must have gone to hide after the hurricane. I wonder if there were more siblings.

I had the complete opposite experience. I grew up around cats, and my younger sister decided to get a dog. It was so weird to have a dog in the house.
