Chef Nabil Attard was forced to leave Syria, but in 2018 he still achieved his dream of opening a restaurant in France. At N renj, he combines elements of Syrian home cooking with French gastronomy.

In Cyprus, they are made with cooked ground pork, onions, parsley, and spices with the bulgur exoskeleton deep-fried to a crispy perfection.
