Small family farms that sell to the city farmers markets are what will make both city and county life great again. People while single may want to live in a large city, when they decide to put family above career, they may go to rural, not corporate family farms, more like seven acre's and a mule. Workfare no welfare, pride in home ownership not transient subsidized housing. Hot tamale's sound wonderful, somehow processing non GMO corn with Ash, traditionally did not cause natives to be diabetic. That sacred cooking is not microwave, but slow cooking with non processed ingredients. We will return to healthy small town farming again and rely on made in America minimally processed goods, not international food products with a in natural chemically enhanced shelf life.

+Missing Link Only the ones that don't protect their heritage, pass down the fundamentals and techniques, then in order to keep up with progress one must detach from tradition, in order for a culture to flourish it needs to evolve, not only maintain. All over the world traditions are kept and integrate themselves with contemporary society. A great example of this is the Oktober festivals, back then not many people attended to them, now the young generations are attracted to it, increasing the volume of the festival and aiding the culture. Not to mention they dress the part, aswell.

My heart breaks for them. How awful that their entire culture and community was not only forced out, but they now have to continue fighting to be recognized? I hope, even in the worst case, they're able to keep their traditions alive somehow.

I found out that my bio father's side is part of this tribal remnant. he's a Procell and grew up in Sabine Parrish, I believe. According to my DNA results, I'm about 8% NA, probably through this tribal remnant.

This makes me miss my grandma and grandpa so much! This is how my mom grew up and I am thankful to have enjoyed all of this in my youth. Still praying that our little tribe will be federally recognized.
