you are not making pancakes with blood actually, where i'm from we eat basically those and they are called roventini and you used to find the everywhere (now our emperors at the European Union decided that we cannot enjoy our traditions anymore and so they banned everything with blood in it; so we just do them with our pigs.

I have a finnish recipe for a blood pancakes. Mix 5dl blood, 5dl beer/milk mixture and 2-3dl rye flours. Let the flours sit 1hr in liquid. Fry fine chopped onion in a heavy butter mix it with a blood mixture, add 2 egg. White pepper, salt and meiram or dragoon. Make yourself a pancake. Enjoy with lingonberryjam.

For thousands of years humans have been eating animal organs and blood, but sometime in the last 50 years the west has gotten so precious because they have instant availability to any cut of meat. Anyone who gets freaked out at blood sausage, but would happily eat a hotdog needs to do some research.

I'm actually pretty upset because this is one of those things I wish I had the guts to try, but due to how I was raised, I may always be too chicken to do it. To me it just seems disgusting. Another thing is insects. Much better environmentally and pretty good nutritionally, but it just seems so gross

When I was a kid my aunt used to heat oil to basically boiling, throw a few scotch bonnets in and pour (usually goat) blood in, turning it into a irony ground beef type dish, and I LOVE IT! Ugh, it's been too long since I've had blood and I miss it oddly. lol

My grandma used to buy sausages blood for me everytime I visit her. Now she lives with me in the city. Just miss that countryside taste so much. Anyway, Tet holiday will be so much fun and special, we can together enjoy that dish again!

All the Pinoys in the comment section talking about Dinuguan, hahahahahahahaha! For everybody else, Dinuguan is literally a Blood Stew. Yes, from the Philippines. Because colonized people will eat everything.

lots of protein, people get so weirded out by blood and animals unless they are chopped up or cooked its very odd, but yes its a very European thing I guess blood sausage/pudding being the most common.

Wow. That blood sausage looks exactly like the ones you find everywhere in Korea Soundae. I am so curious what this recipe would taste like. Another traditional Korean dish using blood is Sunji haejang-guk.

Blood has been used in cooking for centuries. Americans don't understand the approach but it really isn't that unusual in history and certain parts of the world in modern times.
